internship Expectations before starting internship

• Applicants coming into our internship program should already posses the ability to

• Drop their ego and be able to learn, let go of, adapt, adopt new training techniques that coincide with the YSFS way of training.

• Be eager to learn and accepting of constructive criticism

• Be fully aware that if you are great at what you do with our clients, we possibly could bring you on board as a regular coach.

• Be fully aware that the internship could end at anytime. An internship is an extended job interview.

• Be comfortable speaking in front of people, groups.

• Have energy that motivates- AT ALL TIMES regardless of the crap going on in your life

• Present self in a manner that will reinforce your status as a group fitness coach/expert. Look the part.

• Be able to perform all basic exercises with perfect form:

• Squats, lunges, pushups, rows, presses, bridges/planks, deadlifts

internship overview/expectations

• Applicants by end of internship should be able to or should have already completed:

• Demonstrate full body self-myofascial release routine(s), explaining benefits and at least 3 different modes of SMR.

• Be able to design, implement, and lead a full body dynamic warm-up/mobility routine prior to a F.L.O

• Be able to take Group fitness (adult or youth) clients through a F.L.O (Workout) from start to finish without injection or support from a veteran Coach

• Be able to navigate and work properly 100% of the time the Workout Muse Pro app.

• Be able to motivate all clients to push beyond their physical limits and deliver an experience rather then a group fitness workout.

• Be able and without hesitation to correct form on all clients

• Understand and be able to give a 1:00 ‘elevator’ sales pitch on all Yun Strength & Fitness Systems (YSFS) products and services

• Drop their ego and be able to learn, let go of, adapt, adopt new training techniques that coincide with the YSFS way of training.

• Smile at all clients coming in and know the names of all regular clients and use their name at least once a day

• Know how to deal with all incoming trial clients (1st timers)

• Know how to open, close studio(s) for business. Know how to keep studio(s) nice and tidy each and every day.

internship possible hire• Applicants looking to be hired after internship program is over must demonstrate the following:!

• Everything on the ‘Overview/Expectations’ page must be at A- Level or above

• Be able to offer alternates, progressions/regressions depending on what level client or type of injury is being served.

• Design own workout in style of YSFS and take coaches through it.

• Understand all processes, exercises, and systems involved with FitRanX, Quick Screen.

• Be able to demonstrate and teach with perfect form: Basics listed on previous page, Kettlebell: with one or two Bells (Swings, High Pull, Clean, Turkish Get-Up, Windmill, Snatch.

• Commit to being certified within 6 months of hire date or graduation date. Show a commitment to continuing education in this field or related.

• Become CPR certified before 1st FLO is taught by self

• Have liability insurance before 1st FLO is taught by self (company can and will finance)

• Be able to fit into a schedule that works with YSFS.

• Fill out all paperwork needed for position

• Go through and read and sign the YSFS handbook

• Have clients submit the ‘OK’ that you are well liked, respected and give the ‘OK’ to hire you. (MOST IMPORTANT)

Improvement Warrior Fitness is group personal training. Group training has gotten so un-personal over the years, treating people like numbers. At IWF we are putting the PERSONAL back into group training. We are results oriented training program, so our focus is getting our client results. We do this through the training sessions that we provide (nobody just works out or exercises in our program- there is a purpose for each and every time our clients step through the door), the nutrition, the goal setting, the fat loss contests, the walls of fame, the weight loss clubs, and by using the FitRanX Fitness Ranking System. !All new clients receive a complimentary two-week trial or can purchase a 21-day Rapid Fat Loss Starter Plan to try it out and make sure it is the right fit for them. The workouts are highly customizable for any level of fitness. We use a Red Light System as well to make sure all of our clients are doing the right exercises and not doing the wrong ones for their level. We will help you get healthy and look better naked :)

Order of Study: On-Site• Phase 1: Workout as a client- 1-2 classes(or more if you like)

• Phase 2: Shadow Trainers- 2-4 classes (must be minimum of 2 different coaches shadowed.

• Phase 3: Coaches workshop with Jason Yun 1 hour

• Phase 4: Lead Warm-Up, demo exercises while coach explains, and walk floor with silence

• Phase 5: Same as 4 except walk floor with dual motivation of lead coach. Goal is to match or out do coach in motivation/coaching

• Phase 6: Lead entire class training

• Phase 7: Possible hire

Coach Intern Process 21. Come in for Phase 1 of On-Site Training. Your

workout. Observe during process of coach on staff as well (phase 2). This date will be set up usually at interview. The Remaining steps is based on your ability to get through it, your availability and drive.

Coach Intern Process 31. Schedule times to come in and shadow other coaches (based on

your availability) PHASE 2 On-Site Training. Must be minimum of 3 total coaches including owner, Jason Yun.

2. Call, email or text Jason Yun to schedule ‘Coaches Workshop’- Phase 3- On-Site Training

1. Coaches workshop will go over entry/exit studio. Self myofascial release. Workout Muse app. F.L.Os- Demo, changing exercises, adding exercises. New trial clients and welcome packets. Welcoming clients. Movement Screen (off-site too). FitRanX (off-site too). Nutrition. High priority movesYOU designing warm-up and workout and taking Yun through it: 25:00 total.

2. Can be done while Phase 2-On-Site is going on.

Coach intern Process 4• Go through Look Better Naked Nutrition Blueprint.

• Should of been emailed to you after you registered for ‘TRIAL’. If still need please email Jason Yun.

• This is our basic template of Nutrition. Any nutrition advice YOU give must be followed by ‘this is just my opinion’ if you are not certified in Nutrition.

Coach Intern Process 12

• Phase 6- On-Site Training (length- dependent on YOU, minimum 4 classes)

• Lead entire class without assistance from Coach on staff

• Phase 7- On-Site Training: Possible Hire as regular coach

You as a Coach• Coach job is most important in the company.

• If they don’t like you, they ain’t coming back.

• Motivate! Standing around and being quiet is not acceptable. We want an experience— NOT just a workout!

• Lead! You are the leader and expert when you are in front of them.

• Make class the best part of their day!

• Make it feel like Improvement Warrior Fitness! Not some generic, crappy bootcamp or group class.

• Everything is done for you- Workouts, videos, equipment, music, etc….. Just show up and change their lives!!!!!!
