On behalf of the President of the Irricana Agricultural Society, Board of Directors, and Horticultural & Craft ShowCommittee I wouid like to welcome you to the 2nd Annual Irricana and District Horticultural and Craft Show, Septerrber 8,2018.
Our goal is to host a show that will bring the community together. The committees have been working hard to plan, organize, advertise and host this show It takes many monttrs of preparation - organizing sponsorship; preparing the ShowBook, aruanging volunteers/helpers for the day, booking venues, junior activities and judges; advertising through socialmedia, radio and newspaper; to mention just a few of the tasks.
I especially want to thank ttre very dedicated participants from the Irricana Agricultural Society, Town of lrricaria and
Volunteers. Without them we would not have been able to even think about organizing this event and more importantly toenjoy this adventure as much as we have.
Most importantly I would like to again thank Paige Gil and her committee from the Carstairs Horticultural and Craft showfor their guidance and support in assisting me with information as to putting on a successful show as is proven by Paige and
her group putting on their 73*r Annual Show this year. http://www.carstairsagsociety.ca/annual-events
I would like to give a shout out to our 2O17 great people who helped with the preparation of the Horticultural & Craft shoui:

For those who are viewing the entries, we hope this will encourage you and your family to participate. Our community isgrowing and to stay growing we need and want both the young and the experienced to become involved. Some crafu willwill have a long history and have evolved along the way; such as quilting, baking, preserving and woodworking andblacksmithing. Others are new and are very popular with the newer generations. We can't wait to see how they graw; suctlas selfies, rainbow loom, pony beads and computer design.
Show day includes family participation, wonderful meals to enjoy and an award ceremony to honour the winners.
We encourage young and old, experienced and novice to enter items in the spirit of fun and camaraderie. Please come andview all the entries in support of your family, friends and neighbours and enter your name in a draw for a prize of a piece a{Garden Art.

I would be remiss if I did not thank our previous and this years sponsors, our local businesses and families. Without yoursupport the show would not be the success that it will be. And to thank the AHA judges who take the time to certify some afus as ajudge and to attend our show
We all Iook forward to seeing you at the show,
