The project Youth to Action

The Ministry of Social Affairs has the aim that nobody should be unemployed for more than three months without being offered a job, study opportunity, job training or participation in some project.

Operation of construction equipment: Taught in english, material in icelandic. Gives you the right to take exams for all types and sizes of construction machinery.Small-trucker course C1: Taught in english, material in icelandic. The course gives you right to take the exam for the C1 licence to drive a truck up to 7500 kg, with seats for 8 passangers.

Level 2, 3 and 4 of Icelandic + English

Computers - beginners: Taught in English, general computer skills and windows. Word, Excel, Internet, facebook and e-mail.Computers - advanced:Taught in English, for people that know the basics. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Digital photography.Computers – design: In English for advanced. Database processing, homepages and graphic design.

Study grant: For studies that improve your possibilities to get work. We pay 50% of the course, maximum 70.000 kr. Labour union too.

Job training: You find an interesting workplace. 3 to 6 months contract. Minimum wage or higher.

Develop your own business idea: Work on your business idea for up to 6 months.

Individual counselling: Help with job seeking or anything else.

CV making: We help you to make a good CV.

Job seeking abroad: E-303 within Europe.

Salary less than 59.047 kr does NOT affect benefits.50% of salary over 59.047 kr is taken from benefits.You have to let know about this work BEFORE you do it.
