Competition Dates:

Here are a selection of upcoming events that we’d like to see you at. If you have any questions about any of them, then please let me know.

Cornish Champs @ Holywell bay 2nd/3rd August.

Paddle Round the Pier @ Brighton 5th/6th July. Camping is free to all competitiors. All we’ve got to do is load up the mini bus and tow the gear trailer up country

Jo Way Paddle @ Newquay. 26th June. A whole day of events and music. Paddling starts from 4pm, cost £5 kids £10 adults £15 for relay a team. More details are available at www.joewaypaddle.co.uk

Youth Nationals This year Surf Lifesaving Youth Nationals is being held at Exmouth 19th/20th August. Fortunately, Exmouth SLSC has pre-arranged the camping for all competing clubs but we have to act fast and book early. The campsite is offering a two night stay for £50 per plot. A plot is designed for 4/5 people sharing one tent. I will need to know if your definatly coming by Thursday 26th of June. This will have to be done a non-returnable deposit so we can book the campsite. More details to follow shortly.

Youth Training sessions Tuesday night:

Our Youth nights have so far been going very well but just a few reminders. Please bring your club hats (black and gold). If you don’t have one then they are available from the club for £8.50. You will need one for competitions throughout the year. You MUST sign in with Doreen before the session start and once the session has finished, you CANNOT go home until you have done so.

Club Kit:

Our Club kit is precious!! Please look after it. The Dulux racing boards are to be only used on Training nights and competition. Do not use them outside of these times. There is plenty of other/older kit that can be used. If you spot any kit that needs to be repaired then please let me know.

Level 2 Swim and Board Comps

As a youth you will need to take a level 2 swim and a level 2 board competencies. This will then allow you to not only use the equipment outside of training times (whilst the beach is lifeguarded) but also is the minimum requirement to be able to compete at region and national competitions at youth level. Each award costs £5 and we will be starting to run the qualifications very soon.
