Program DescriptionsProgram DescriptionsPathways to Career Success (PTCS) is our premiere evidence-based in- & after-school academic, college, career & workforce readiness program embedded in BHS’ day and health sciences curriculum for 9th-12th graders. Annually, our graduates achieve a 99% graduation rate.
Wellness Ambassadors Leadership Program (WALP) is a peer education program where students learn and teach others to make healthy lifestyle choices. Wellness Ambassadors are youth stakeholders in Port Towns and Prince George’s County communities who partner with community residents and help lead health and wellness and other environmental health initiatives such as connecting storm water management to health and safety in schools and communities.
Port Towns Youth Council (PTYC) is ETHM’s Leadership and Character development program. Youth develop their leadership skills through the peer leadership training they receive from community leaders and other business experts. These youth Wellness Ambassadors hone their advocacy skills as they plan, communicate, and think critically about human and social justice, which help shape public policies that positively impact the lives of youth and families.
Jobs For Youth (JFY) Summer Employment Program is ETHM’s workforce readiness program that provides summer internships for qualified students who participate in ETHM’s PTCS and PTYC programs. Partner businesses mentor and expose interns to job opportunities that match students’ career interests.
