Target Consumer & Problem Addressed

Our application appeals to students, their parents, and

teachers.

It addresses the lack of communication that occurs

every day in school.

Our Mission

With this app, we aim to strengthen the student/parent-teacher connection/understanding.

The Problems

Students often get the grade that they do not want because of the lack of communication between themselves and

their teachers.

Some students are also afraid of asking questions in front of their classmates.

Students and parents sometimes miss important events and news if they do not have emails.

The Question

How can we ensure that students achieve the goals they set for themselves through an app that strengthens

communication in schools?

Our team, STARKY, is developing a school communication application to help students, their parents, and teachers

understand each other more. We want students to obtain the grades they want by making it more convenient to

privately message their teachers online without sharing their phone numbers. Additionally, our application will allow

support for video lessons and the ability to see deadlines and turn in files.

User Analysis

While developing this application, we learned that students often get a grade that they did not expect to acquire

because of their misinterpretation of the instructions. This misunderstanding is caused by two common factors: their

fear of asking questions out loud, or the difficulty of reaching their teachers in time.

StatisticsThrough our surveys with students and teachers, we learned that…● After school, some teachers do not wish to communicate with

their students.● Many students receive lower grades due to misunderstandings.● More than half of the students in a classroom are afraid to ask

questions out loud.

Some problems we may face when trying to release the application are…

● The chances of STARKY gaining visibility are low.● There may be glitches when running the application, lowering our

reputation.● Our competitors have applications that are much more

aesthetically pleasing, so if our target audiences judge our application by its looks, we would most likely not get any

downloads.
