Be the fi rst to fi nd out about new missions
To complete this week’s mission, our partners at Save-On-Foods want to help with a coupon to save $1 o! marinated beef kabobs. Take it to your
closest Save-On-Foods location, then prepare your meal and Gastropost it!
MISSION INSPIRATION
MISSION PERK
Dan Majeau is a Sturgeon County
pork producer who thinks summer is
an exciting time for cooking. “We love to grill everything from pork chops to capicola butt steaks.
We also do a lot of smoking in the summer — pork butts, pulled pork, baby back ribs, kabobs.”
By smoking meat, Dan says, “You can really take some low-value meat cuts and turn them into
something great.”
If you eat local Alberta food to complete this week’s mission, tag your mission #tasteab for an
extra chance to get in the paper!
As optimists, we’ve made it your mission this week to show us how and what you like to eat and drink outdoors. From backyard bashes to pub patio parties and intimate picnics, share
your favourite al fresco eats — and if the weather doesn’t play along, move it indoors and
cross your fi ngers.
NEXT MISSION: (GR)EAT
OUTDOORS
Each week, Gastropost recognizes some of its members who made Alberta food a part of their experience. If you eat local food to complete this week’s mission
(see right), tag your post with #tasteab and you could see your food here next week!
