Community Support

Program Coordinator Metresse Ali (left) supports culturally-specific service providers like Khadija Fai (center) of Multnomah County’s Bienestar Program and families like Halima’s (right) to receive meaningful service from Community Warehouse.

A Responsive Service2018 was a tremendous year of growth for Community Warehouse, particularly for strengthening our service delivery. No one embodies our growth as a team more profoundly than our Program Coordinator, Metresse Ali. Through a generous grant from the Collins Foundation, we partnered closely with local Somali-American service providers to recruit and onboard an experienced bilingual, bicultural program coordinator, enabling us to advance our 5-year strategic plan goals by:

Increasing capacity to meet community demand for appointments

Providing additional cultural and language competencies

Representing the communities we support

Providing sufficient program staffing

Above all, Metresse’s warm, friendly demeanor embodies the Warehouse spirit and our vision for creating welcoming homes, supported by generous neighbors. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our vision.

In gratitude,

Dunetchka Otero-SerranoExecutive Director
