The completed scarf measures 20 cm (8 in) wide & 170 cm (67 in) long.
Using 5.5 mm needles cast on 36 sts. Work in Garter St for 170 cm (67 in) [442 rows] total.
Then cast off all sts cutting yarn 10 cm (4 in) from work.
Using a wool needle darn the ends of the yarn through the work for a few stitches along a row then cut off excess yarn.

The finished snood measured flat is approximately 30 cm (11¾ in) wide & 22 cm (8½ in) long.
Using 6.0 mm needles cast on 33 sts.
Starting with a knit row work in St st for 60 cm (23½ in) [114 rows] total.
Cast off all the sts and cut the yarn 130 cm from the knitting. This yarn will be used to sew the seam.Fold the snood in half (right sides together), matching the points A & A’ and B & B’, then make a back-stitch seam between AA’ to BB’ (see instruction pages).

Cast off all the sts and cut the yarn 80 cm (31½ in) from the work. This will be used to sew the seam.Fold the snood in half and using the wool needle stitch the side seam. Slip the remaining yarn through a few stitches and cut off. Secure and weave in all ends in the same way.
