There is no shortage of Celebration Locations on New Years Eve

As we can all attest, a lot can change in a year. Do you remember where you were last year on New Year’s Eve? A private house party, an outdoor event, a nightclub or just sitting around the house with your family watching the new year countdown on TV? The ushering in of the New Year usually meant a time to make a resolution that you would probably break within a few months. The front running resolution was excercising and going to the gym. A year later, our focus for the new year is to weather the storms, literally, and make changes in our lifestyles that we must keep to get through this economic downturn. What better way to start than with a fresh new outlook and embracing it by welcoming it as a time of opportunity - one that may be life changing. So celebrate!

This year, there are so many New Year celebrations going on throughout the city that we had to, for the first time, create a separate on-line publication just to bring some of the choices to you. In this issue you will find listings for young and older. As you will note, most of the parties are reasonably priced as most venue operators are sensitive to the financial plight we are all experiencing. There are so many events, we could not possibly list them in this issue. You can find additional events on our Sizzle Sheet feature online at HOToronto.com as they become available.

I suggest you forget about the negative and concentrate on the positive - your health, your family, your friends, what you have achieved and your goals for the future. Extend your Christmas cheer into the new year. Get out and enjoy yourself - take care of business later.
