Choosing the right self-storage facility to store your personal effects is an important decision.

Waterloo Storage is the ideal solution for your storage needs.

We can assist when you are:

• Travelling

• Moving house

• Storing family possessions

• Clearing household clutter

• Renovating & don’t want your personal items damaged

• De-cluttering your home for sale

• Living in a small apartment and require more storage

Our state of the art controlled access card gives you complete control over who enters your unit.

Multiple access cards available for individual units upon request.

GENERAL TIPS:

• Pack items properly before you get to the

storage centre.

• Choose the best size unit for your needs.

• Ensure that heavy items aren’t leaning

against the walls of your unit as this can

cause damage.

• Utilise all of the space available to you,

including the height.

• Make sure the boxes aren’t over-filled so that

they become too awkward or heavy to lift.

• Stack the lighter boxes on top of the

heavier boxes.

• Don’t over-pack a carton or it will be too hard

to lift or rearrange in the unit when adding

additional items and removing needed ones.

• Pack cartons so they are evenly balanced

and won’t tip over and cause damage.

• Box unusually shaped items.

• Collapse anything that would otherwise take

up too much space if left intact, such as

beds and tables.

• Plan your storage space and prepare the

items accordingly.

• Storeheavyorlargeitemsatthebackorat

the bottom.

RESIDENTIAL STORAGE

HINTS AND TIPS By following these simple steps when packing your items in preparation for storage, you can be

assured that when it’s time to retrieve your goods they’ll be free of damage, and ready for storing.

• Packitemsyoumayneed,suchas

important papers, in accessible containers

at the front of the unit for easy access.

• Keepfabricoffthebarefloor(e.g.

• Arrangeadequateinsurancecover

before you store.

Tip #1Number your labels and mark what’s inside each box for quick checking and organising when you take your possessions home. Make a note of how many boxes you have. Tip #2

Make a list or take photos. Grouping your belongings into logical batches of labelled boxes obviously makes it easier to find things later. BUT putting the odd item in with books or linen will probably happen and recording where “it” is will be a big help later..
