We have a range of accommodation options, including cottage-style, companionship and single rooms, all with personalised care tailored to your individual needs.

You will have access to 24-hour nursing care and assistance to cater for every aspect of your daily needs. This is complemented by a variety of specialist services including dementia, palliative, bariatric and respite care, as well as pastoral and spiritual support. To be eligible to enter residential aged care, you must be at pensionable age or receive a Disability Support Pension, and be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). An ACAT will talk to you about your current situation and determine if you are eligible to receive government-subsidised aged care services.

Our experienced, qualifi ed and dedicated staff provide the highest quality of support and care to residents in all of our services. We are fully accredited by the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency and committed to progressing innovative care, which supports each person to celebrate their personal life journey.

Who provides the care?

Residents are encouraged to maintain independence; however, staff will give extra help if needed. Assistance can be given with showering, personal hygiene and dressing, the dispensing of medication, dementia support, mobility, meal assistance, special diets, emotional support, rehabilitation and communication, with additional support available during any short-term illness.

Our service embraces the philosophy of client-focused care, which recognises each person’s individual preferences, values, lifestyle choices and needs, and optimises wellbeing. This is facilitated by the development of ‘partnerships in care’ which include the resident, their representative, care providers, allied health providers and others who form part of a resident’s community.

Personal care services

Engelsburg Aged Care ServiceChurches of Christ Care Engelsburg Aged Care Service is a 10-bed, residential service offering a range of personal care, therapies and accommodation.

It is situated 10 kilometres northwest from Boonah. The service was built in keeping with the rural community and residential setting in which it is located. Residents and visitors can enjoy the landscaped gardens and outdoor walkways to take in the rural landscape.


Our programs and therapies support residents, their families and carers and are interventions to enhance, improve or manage:• chronic disease• rehabilitation from injuries• nutrition and hydration• emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Many of our specialist programs and therapies focus on the things that bring uplift to an individual’s life. This means having fun, enjoying life, living life more abundantly and enjoying positive wellbeing. Programs and therapies include: • Dementia - Positive Wellbeing Model of Care• Palliative and end-of-life care • Pastoral and spiritual care • Fun and fi tness exercise program• Music, art and humour therapy• Intergenerational program.

Residents can dine and relax in the choice of lounge/dining room with kitchen as well as formal dining areas. Reverse cycle airconditioning is in all common areas. Residents and visitors are also able to enjoy the gardens and paved covered outdoor area with seating and a barbecue.

Cottage Life Cottage Life Rooms offer single accommodation with private ensuite. Some rooms have access to an external patio and all rooms have views of the garden or countryside. The rooms are furnished with an electric bed, cupboards, bedside table, lockable cabinet and carpet. They have ceiling fans, reverse cycle airconditioning, natural light and windows with curtains, TV point, phone point, and a 24-hour nurse call system.
