Bashundhara LP Gas Ltd is the first private LPG plant in the country. It has a higher production rate than any other filling station in Bangladesh. It possesses 3000MT storage capacity, which is the largest amount among all the LPG plant in Bangladesh. LPG is an intermediate product that is situated between natural gas and crude oil. LPG is one of the common fuels in our country where natural gas is not available. Gradually it has become a very popular fuel in our country.

Bashundhara LP Gas Limited is one of the subsidiaries of Bashundhara Group and the first private LP Gas bottling and marketing company in Bangladesh. The plant situated in Mongla Port Industrial Are on the bank of the Pashur River. It has its own jetty facilities and LPG sourcing is solely import oriented. Storage facility consists of six spherical tanks each of 500 metric ton capacity (total 3000 metric ton capacity) and has two sets of carousal system having 24 filling posts each (total 2×24=48 nos.). The plant can refill up-to 2,000 cylinders per hour.

The company is marketing and distributing their product in the brand name of ‘Bashundhara LP Gas’ in glossy red color and set to introduce a new brand cylinder under the name of “Bashundhara Premium LP Gas” in yellow body color. Apart from marketing/distributing of LP gas In various size of cylinders (12 Kg, 30 kg & 45 Kg), the company also sell and supply the LP Gas in bulk form carrying by LPG Road Tankers for small/medium LP gas bottlers and commercial/industrial customer as well according to their demand. In this connection, the company has obtained two LPG Road Tankers having carrying capacity of 18 MT each.

Main Plant - Bashundhara Group was the first business entity in country's private sector to start importing, bottling and marketing of LP Gas. The company has state-of-the-art LP Gas plant in Mongla which houses 6 gas storage tanks with a capacity of 500 metric ton each. And the 48 filling posts of Carousel Filling System of the plant have daily refill capacity of 50,000 units of Gas Cylinders.

Jamuna Spacetech Joint Venture Limited (JSJVL) started its operation in Bangladesh on LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) sector named as Jamuna Gas®. Jamuna Spacetech Joint Venture Limited (JSJVL) was incorporated on August 11, 1998 under the Company Act 1994 and started its operations in 2000.

Jamuna Gas in one of the largest LP Gas bulk importation, storage, bottling, marketing & distribution, company in Bangladesh. It is the first private LP Gas plant to be engaged in this sector. It has developed immensely in both internally and externally from the time of its commencement. It is the fastest in growing network of interrelated

business in LP gas sector. We continue to implement and search for new technologies and applications for the benefit .Our product and also for the customers.

Jamuna Gas has got two distribution plants one is in Mongla and other is in Bogra consequently covering the major two locations geographically southern and eastern respectively. It has overall 2850 MT of storage capacity of which 2650MT in Mongla and 200 MT in Bogra.

In partnership with European energy giant BB Energy, the company has installed state of the art LPG import and storage terminal with capacity of 3600MT at Mongla, Bagerhaat.

Apart from the main installation in Mongla, OPL has established three other satellite filling and bottling stations located at Ghorashal (Central), Bogra (Northern Belt) and Chittagong (Southern Belt) respectively to ensure convenience and availability of LPG to its distributors and customers.


Besides using a massive fleet of LPG browsers to move the LPG from Mongla to its satellite plants, OPL has successfully commissioned a LPG Barge ‘MV Omera Princess’ with capacity of 300 MT to transport LPG through waterways for the first time in Bangladesh.

Total gaz Bangladesh (Premier LP Gas Limited), is a subsidiary of TOTAL S.A., France. It is in the business of import, storage, and distribution of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) in domestic and commercial cylinders under the brand name Total gaz as well as in bulk to industrial customers in Bangladesh.
