CHALLENGE: To design a hybrid set-top box for the Asian market with the support

of broadband (IPTV/OTT) and broadcasting services (ATSC 3.0 + ARIB) with the

video resolution up to 8K.

SOLUTION: We have designed an STB with the following features: OTT player with

HLS and DASH streams, voice search and control, Android 9 SW platform, Cisco

VideoGuard DRM, ASiD watermarking, remote analytics and fault management

system, browser with HbbTV, TR06/135 support.

Qoobi One, a wireless vacuum tube preampCLIENT & CHALLENGE: A Holland-based startup created an award-winning design

of its first product, a Hi-Fi wireless tube amplifier. They needed our experience

in adapting their design for production.

SOLUTION: We selected the optimal materials and processing technologies, developed

the mechanical design, organized the assembly and delivery of a working prototype.

BUSINESS VALUE:

The prototype was successfully showcased

at CES, a consumer electronics show in

Las Vegas.

Next year, they won the CES 2019

Innovation Award and planned the start

of sales with the initial price of $1,500.

7-in-1 modem router for SOHO

PORTFOLIO TELECOMMUNICATIONS& DATACOM

CLIENT & CHALLENGE: A company focused on software

development for VoIP and digital PBX decided to enter the

market with a new B2B product for small / home office.

SOLUTION: We have designed and prepared for mass

production an advanced VoIP modem router that provides

all types of office communications (7 devices in 1).

BUSINESS VALUE: Our client received one of the world’s

first modem routers with a DECT base station. Another

competitive advantage is the integration of his VoIP software

product with his proprietary hardware solution.

The production volume of this B2B solution has exceeded

20,000 units.

OUR CASES INDUSTRIAL IOT& SMART CITIES

CLIENT & CHALLENGE: This investment project is designed

to monitor air quality in smart cities. Promwad develops it

within the European grant.

SOLUTION: We designed a high-precision modern system

with measuring devices installed outdoors on lighting poles

and building walls.

The data is transmitting to a server via the LoRaWAN 868MHz /

433MHz ISM bands. The communication with an IoT cloud and

user apps is implemented via GSM, WIFI, Ethernet.

BUSINESS & SOCIAL VALUE: Taking into account the issues

of air pollution and climate change, the air control systems will

be in demand by state and commercial companies: in smart

cities, eco farms, national parks, as well as industrial enterprises

(for tax reliefs and carbon trading within the Kyoto Protocol).

CHALLENGE: To develop a software and

hardware system for more accurate and safe

operations on the brain and spine. It should

be low-cost and easy to use for doctors.

SOLUTION: We have designed a working

prototype with the support of 3D images

of ultrasound/MRI/CT, so neurosurgeons

can monitor position of their instruments

in a patient's body in real time with an

accuracy of one millimeter.

BUSINESS VALUE: The cost of the

designed neuronavigator is 50% lower than

market leaders offer, it is affordable for the

departments of neurosurgery in developing

countries and small regional clinics.

The forecasted share of the product on the

world market is 15%.

TAO, a fitness gadgetCLIENT & CHALLENGE: А US company developing

health and fitness products designed a unique device

to exercise with anywhere, anytime. Promwad was

invited to upgrade its software and PCB design to

ensure a longer battery life.

SOLUTION: We offered a smart solution to reduce

power consumption. Some changes in software

and circuit design resulted in a significant increase

in battery life, over three times (300%) longer.

BUSINESS VALUE: With our updated PCB docs,

the client launched the production with no delays,

and successfully showcased TAO

at the CES Las Vegas exhibition.

A glucose meter for iOS and Android smartphonesCLIENT & CHALLENGE: A European developer and manufacturer

of glucose meters commissioned us the design of a new product.

SOLUTION: We developed a glucose meter. It connects with

a smartphone via the standard audio input and shows the results

in a mobile application.

Synchronization with a IoT cloud expanded the product features:

the data were collected from several devices, patients generated

reports, including recommendations on nutrition and treatment.

BUSINESS VALUE: At the time of delivery of this project,

the device had no analogues in Eastern Europe, and stood out

on the global market: it was adapted

for both mobile platforms, while other

products worked with iOS only.
