1. Insert the power supply into an outlet2. Connect the power supply port into the reader. 3. Insert the BioDigitalPC® card into the slot in the reader.Note: The fan should automatically turn on when the card is inserted.

VIDEO ENABLED The BioDigitalPC® comes with an DP++ port that allows you to directly connect a display or projector with the Video Cable or converter. Use the included Video Cable to connect the DP++ port to connect monitors and projectors that have HDMI connectors.

The BioDigitalPC® accepts USB accessories, such as a mouse, keyboard, or printer. You can also connect external speakers, headphones, and other devices to the headphone port, if available. The BioDigitalPC® USB connectors are located on the BioDigitalPC® Reader:

To connect:Plug the accessory into a USB port. The BioDigitalPC® will search the USB interface for the accessory.

Note: If the connected accessory requires a driver, download the driver from the accessory/device manufacturer’s website or by connecting an external hard drive to the USB port located on the BioDigitalPC® Reader.

To connect to a DSL, cable modem or an Ethernet network:

Your BioDigitalPC® Reader comes with built-in Ethernet(10/100) networking capability, which you can use to connect to a network or DSL modem.Connect the cable to your DSL or cable modem or connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet hub or outlet. Then connect the other end of the cable to the Readers Ethernet port.

To connect to a wireless network

1. Plug wireless adapter dongle into the BioDigitalPC® reader USB port.2. Install drivers from manufacturer’s website.3. Click on VAN (View Available Networks) from the menu in the menu bar. VAN Network Connect will detect all available wireless networks.4. Choose a network to connect to from the status menu.5. Enter a password if required.

1. Put your BioDigitalPC® Card into the slot on the reader (with the label facing up) and the BioDigitalPC® powers up in seconds. You should then see your desktop display on the monitor.

2. You are now ready to use your BioDigitalPC®.

TO INSERT YOUR BIODIG ITALPC® CARD INTO THE READER

NOTE– BEFORE YOU INSERT YOUR BIODIGITALPC® CARD INTO THE READER SLOT, MAKE SURE THE LABEL SIDE OF THE BIODIGITALPC® CARD FACING UP.

THE RED INDICATOR LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE ONCE THE READER IS CORRECTLY CON-NECTED TO A POWER SUPPLY. WHEN THE BIODIGITALPC® CARD IS PROPERLY INSERTED A GREEN INDICATOR LIGHT SHOULD LIGHT AND THE FAN WILL TURN ON.

INSTALLING SOFTWARE FROM A CD OR DVD

REMOVING YOUR BIODIGITAL PC® CARD

External Disc Drive (not included): Connect a DVD/CD drive into the USB connector on the Reader.

Insert the disc into the drive slot. The Software should begin to load automati-cally or according to the software specifications.

Before shutting down, close all applications to avoid data loss or corruption. Shut down the BiodigitalPC® according to your operating system’s instructions. After the shut down is complete, it is safe to remove the BioDigitalPC® card.

To remove the BioDigitalPC® Card simply grasp the card and pull it out of the reader.
