Thanks for taking an interest in our zine. Everything is still very much in the early stages, but we’ve delighted by the response so far.

We’ve pulled together the types of content we’re looking for in the next few slides.

The aim is to produce a printed book that is specifically aimed at helping students and grads, but one that offers industry influencers and agencies a platform to broaden their exposure to young talent, and share their knowledge and learnings – in a cool way.

What are we proposing?

We’re after all sorts – but will need to follow our common theme of ‘Get a job. Win awards. Put a book together. Do cool shit.’ to be considered.

We’re currently looking for things like:

The way BBH’s Marc & Callum wowed Creative Directors with a portfolio created en route to London.

MegaBus Bookcargocollective.com/marccallum/The-Megabus-Book

Ad creatives who do more. Like Scarlett Montanaro and Charlotte Cramer’s initiative to help the homeless.

Crack + Cidercrackandcider.com/

What kinds of content?

Clever self-promotion ideas:

Like Anomaly’s Matt & Dave.

Celebrity Testimonialsakacreatives.com/#/celebrity-testimonials/

Or Ant & Zish’s must have Cannes accessory.

Lion Arsesantandzish.com/#/lion-arse-award/

What kinds of content?

The YCC is well known throughout the creative industry. As well as running multiple events throughout the year with agencies, we often partner with industry bodies and brands for projects, socials and other opportunities.

So far in 2017 alone, we’ve already worked with the likes of Iris, R/GA, D&AD, DMA, IDM, the Graeme Robertson Trust, Creative Circle, Creative Equals, Creative Social, It’s Nice That. and Greenpeace. We’re also part of the Placement Poverty Pledge. An agency initiative to pay the London Living Wage for placements. We’ve already got 57 agencies onboard and are hoping to roll it out across the regions soon.
