Annually, we award students and organizations for being all-

around amazing Mavericks with an awards ceremony, scholarships,

and our program assistance funds. With all the great candidates to

choose from, it’s a tough job — and we’re glad we get to do it.

Program assistance Funds A Student Congress initiative, the Program Assistance

Fund is awarded to student organizations for

educational on-campus programming and travel to

regional or national conferences.

alPha Phi omega service scholarshiP This scholarship provides financial assistance to those

who help others and recognizes the volunteer efforts

of those who fulfill the service principles of Alpha Phi

Omega National Service Fraternity.

student congress Student Congress is UT Arlington’s elected

representative for the entire student body. Members

serve as the major link between students and the

administration and work to implement change at

UT Arlington, solicit concerns, and propose resolutions

uta-hosts!HOSTS! is a mentoring program that individually

matches new students with returning UT Arlington

students by major. The mentor serves as an

informational resource to the new student to aid in his

Freshmen leaders on camPus Freshmen Leaders on Campus provides selected first

year students with a supportive environment that aids

in the transition to college life and offers leadership

uta ambassadorsThe ambassadors serve as the official student hosts of

UT Arlington under the direction of Mr. and Ms. UTA.

The group maintains and promotes new and old campus

traditions; increases awareness of UT Arlington’s

services, programs, and activities to students and the

strengthens pride and passion for UT Arlington on

activity Fair dayActivity Fair Day is one of your first opportunities to

get connected to UT Arlington student organizations

and departments. Activity Fair Day brings in an average

of 200 organizations and departments each semester.

to centralize, organize, and promote student involvement

opportunities on campus. Essentially an organization

hub for our student organizations, MavOrgs allows

student groups to more effectively communicate with

group members, maintain an active roster, post photos

and organizational information, and much more. For
