YOU, ME AND WE –– BABY, I GOT YOUR B. A. C. K.
- Ecclesiastes 4:9 – 12 – TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one
will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth;
for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one
prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and A THREEFOLD
CORD IS NOT QUICKLY BROKEN.
- Introduction: Praise the Lord! We bring you greetings from Destiny Christian Center where we are illuminating the pathway to purpose
through the teaching of God's Word. We are delighted to be a part of
this conference. So many things have been said, and we are the better for it. Thank You Dr. Smith and First Lady Smith for having us. We
are honored to be here. We are blessed to see our Vegas connection
here and we greet you. We also want to give honor to our beloved Bishop Nathaniel Holcomb who is resting in heaven. We are who we
are today because of what he and our mother in the faith Pastor
Valerie have instilled in us.
- Your conference is called Energize. It is time of refreshment, revival
and renewal. The word Energize means to give energy to; rouse into activity: it means to give vitality and energy to; enliven, stimulate,
encourage, motivate, invigorate etc. These are all terms synonymous with refreshment, revival and renewal.
- The theme for our subject matter is You, Me and We. I thought of it
in terms of you + me = we. One of the things Dr. Poole and I say at home is in marriage, there is no more I, me, my but us, we and our.
The Bible says in Genesis 2:26 that the two became one flesh i.e. you
+ me = we. "We" connotes togetherness suggesting that we are in this thing called life together, becoming what God wants us to be.
- EXAMPLE: Play Dough - When we are in something together, in essence we are saying that I
Got Your B. A. C. K. - For our time together, we will share the importance of togetherness
and what it means to say, Baby, I Got Your B. A. C. K. - So let's take a look at this acronym for B. A. C. K. - I Got Your B. A. C. K. is a military phrase stemming from WWI
fighter pilots telling their comrades, I'm not going to let anything come up from you and attack you from behind, referencing the rear of
the airplane. - It connotes I'm with you, I support you. I'll help you. - A little about us.
BE WITH HIM 736 start time - Mark 3:14 – And he ordained twelve, THAT THEY SHOULD BE
WITH HIM, and that he might send them forth to preach, - Matthew 6:33 – But SEEK YE FIRST the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. - Hebrews 11:6 – But WITHOUT FAITH it is impossible to please
him: for he that cometh to God MUST BELIEVE THAT he is, and
that he is a rewarder of them that DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM. - DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM! - Philippians 3:10 (AMPC) – [For MY DETERMINED PURPOSE
is] that I may know Him [THAT I MAY PROGRESSIVELY
BECOME MORE DEEPLY AND INTIMATELY ACQUAINTED WITH HIM, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the
wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I
may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share
His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His
likeness even] to His death, [in the hope].
- ILLUSTRATION:🔺 Triangle Principle
- The ONLY reason a Christian marriage fails is because one and or
both refuse to obey the scripture. - The only exception to this is abuse; abuse is NEVER okay. - First things first. - Relationship with the Lord is our number one priority.
- Matthew 22:37 – 40 – Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the
Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the
second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
- Jesus quotes Deuteronomy 6:4,5 known as the Shema (pronounced
Sh' mah). - Shema is the Hebrew word of this verse; the entire verse is recited
as the Jewish confession of faith! - In order to support someone else unconditionally, you must Be With
the One who loves you unconditionally.
- In order to say, "Baby, I Got Your B. A. C. K., you must Be with Him
first."
A.G.A.P.E. - 1 Corinthians 12:31 – But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet
show I unto you A MORE EXCELLENT WAY. - 1 Corinthians 13:7, 8 – Beareth all things, believeth all things,
hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never faileth: but
whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall
vanish away. - 1 Corinthians 13:7, 8 (NLT) – Love NEVER gives up, NEVER
loses faith, is ALWAYS hopeful, and endures through EVERY
circumstance. 8 Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and
special knowledge will become useless. But love will last FOREVER!
- 1 Corinthians 13:7 (NAMP) – Love bears ALL things [REGARDLESS OF WHAT COMES], believes ALL things
[LOOKING FOR THE BEST IN EACH ONE], hopes ALL things
[REMAINING STEADFAST DURING DIFFICULT TIMES], endures ALL things [WITHOUT WEAKENING].
- 1 Corinthians 13:8 (PASSION) – LOVE NEVER STOPS
LOVING. It extends beyond the gift of prophecy, which eventually fades away. It is more enduring than tongues, which will one day
fall silent. Love remains long after words of knowledge are
forgotten. - Agape, Greek word for charity or love - It is a love of the will, not the feel and comes from the Father. - The acronym Always Giving Above Personal Expectations - L. U. S. T. –– Loving Until Satisfy Temptation - Important to note, there is no "I" in love. - Love vs. Like. "I" is in "like" because it connotes IAAM, not IAAH - In order to say, Baby, I Got Your B. A. C. K., we need a revelation of
A.G.A.P.E.
CONTEND - Ephesians 6:12 – FOR WE WRESTLE NOT against flesh and
blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places. - Ephesians 6:12 (MSG) – This is no afternoon athletic contest that
we'll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. THIS
IS FOR KEEPS, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil
and all his angels. - Marriage is for keeps. - Fight is not against spouse. - Accuser of the brethren. - Tool or a toy? Selah! - Jude 1:3 (PASSION) – Dearly loved friend, I was fully intending to
write to you about our amazing salvation we all participate in, but felt the need instead to challenge you to VIGOROUSLY DEFEND
AND CONTEND FOR THE BELIEFS THAT WE CHERISH.
For God, through the apostles, has once for all entrusted these truths to his holy believers.
- Ephesians 6:18 (VOICE) – PRAY ALWAYS. Pray in the Spirit. Pray
about everything in every way you know how! And keeping all this in mind, pray on behalf of God’s people. KEEP ON PRAYING
FEVERISHLY, and be on the lookout UNTIL EVIL HAS BEEN
STAYED.
- The one who says, "I Got Your B. A. C. K.," will do warfare in prayer
until the marriage destroying demon is annihilated.
KEEP YOUR VOWS - Matthew 19:3 – 6 – The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting
him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife FOR EVERY CAUSE? 4 And he answered and said unto
them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning
made them male and female, 5 And said, FOR THIS CAUSE shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and
they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain,
but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
- We are living in a day and time where people want out of marriage for
any cause. - Luke 16:18 – Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth
another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is
put away from her husband committeth adultery. - Luke 16:18 (MSG) – Using the legalities of divorce AS A COVER
FOR LUST is adultery; Using the legalities of marriage AS A
COVER FOR LUST is adultery. - Luke 16:18 (PASSION) – “It is wrong for you to divorce your wife
SO THAT you can marry another—that is adultery. And when you
take that one you have LUSTED AFTER as your wife, and
CONTRIBUTE TO THE BREAKUP of her marriage, you are
once again guilty of adultery.” - Keep your vows unto God! - One of the ways we keep vows fresh is to stay under cover. - Proverbs 27:7 – The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the
hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet. - Proverbs 27:7 (PASSION) – When your soul is full, you turn down
even the sweetest honey. But WHEN YOUR SOUL IS STARVING,
every bitter thing becomes sweet. - Due Benevolence! - 1 Corinthians 7:1 – 5 – Now concerning the things whereof ye
wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2
Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband
render unto the wife DUE BENEVOLENCE: and likewise also the
wife unto the husband. 4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of
his own body, but the wife. 5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it
be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for
your incontinency. - Proverbs 5:15 – 20 (NKJV) – Drink water from your own cistern,
And running water from your own well. 16 Should your fountains
be dispersed abroad, Streams of water in the streets? 17 Let them be
only your own, And not for strangers with you. 18 Let your fountain
be blessed, And rejoice with the wife of your youth. 19 As a loving deer and a graceful doe, Let her breasts satisfy you at all times; And
always be enraptured with her love. 20 For why should you, my son, be enraptured by an immoral woman, And be embraced in the arms
of a seductress. - Better not vow than to vow and break the vow you made before God. - Keep your vows! Due what's Due! Go Under Cover! - Ecclesiastes 5:4, 5 (TLB) – So when you talk to God and vow to him
that you will do something, don't delay in doing it, for God has no pleasure in fools. KEEP YOUR PROMISE TO HIM. 5 It is far
better not to say you'll do something than to say you will and then
not do it. - Deuteronomy 23:21 – 23 (GW) – IF YOU MAKE A VOW TO
THE LORD YOUR GOD, DON’T AVOID KEEPING IT. The
Lord your GOD EXPECTS YOU TO KEEP IT. You would be guilty of a sin if you didn’t. 22 If you didn’t make a vow, you would
not be guilty. 23 Make sure you DO WHAT YOU SAID YOU
WOULD DO ⌜IN YOUR VOW⌟. You freely chose to make your
vow to the Lord your God. - The one who says "I Got Your B. A. C. K.," is saying no matter what I
will keep my vows.
CONCLUSION
- You + Me = We - Baby, Got Your B. A. C. K. - Be with Him, A. G. A. P. E., Contend, Keep Your Vows - Be energized! Protect your marriage! Do the Word!

What is unique about you?
INTRODUCTIONS
The Grief response can be compared to
snowflakes, where we can look at the flakes and identify them as “snow”. but when you closer, the crystalline structure of each individual flake is unique, and there are an infinite number of patters that can be found.” (Winokuer & Harris)

How do you grieve properly?
Our Humanity
before God
Father, if you are willing, removed this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.’ And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Luke 22:42-44 NKJV

Divine Comfort
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Grief Process
In Grief there has to be attachment and separation in order to experience loss and then grief.
The genesis of grief lies in the inevitability of both attachment and separation for the sustenance and development of human life.
Grief is inescapable even when its existence and impact are denied.

Time
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.
