Fathers who were reluctant to educate their daughters are now ghting to seek admission in KEF schools because they have seen the outcomes and realize the positive impact on their families. Female graduates from villages are recognizing the huge dierence attending workshops at our College of Teacher Education (CTE) can make to their eectiveness in schools, their status within the educational fraternity and their personal career prospects. Hundreds have been empowered to go back and establish new schools or transform existing ones along KEF lines. Thousands of children and their families have beneted as a direct result of KEF’s outreach work. More than a thousand female graduates have received practical ‘on the job’ personal and professional help at the CTE in acquiring new knowledge, latest skills in the use of digital technology and enhanced competences. Rural and marginalized communities who were deprived of opportunities that their peers in cities and townships take for granted have experienced outstanding success and a renewed sense of self-esteem.

KEF child centred and activity based approach to teaching and learning has proved to be a very eective model for a much-needed transformational reform in rural AJK and Pakistan. It is unleashing the potential of all gifted and talented learners and giving the girl students a renewed sense of self respect and dignity.

Life for students in KEF schools is challenging but exciting and rewarding. Our schools are some of the most forward-looking, state of the art institutions in AJK and Pakistan where teaching to learn and learning to teach go hand in hand providing the very best of a contemporary educational experience. KEF UK provides the professional expertise of internationally renowned consultants who are keen to respect the local bilingual perspective in order not to neglect the rich cultural heritage of the communities we have the privilege to serve.

KEF is a not for prot charitable organisation providing quality education for children who are selected by Qaide

Our policy is deliberately gender positive towards girls and female trainee teachers.. We actively support the “Malalla” campaign for Universal girl education.

Apart from the websites, KEF has an active social networking prole via Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr and a number of blogs developed by children and their educators. Overseas consultants and faculty members utilise these interactive means of communication to keep each other informed and to make personal and professional contributions.

The KEF Alumni groups form a valuable platform for dissemination of good practice and good news. Students like Maria Khan, Sandeela Andleeb and Parsa Khan are amongst hundreds of KEF ambassadorial role models we can all be proud of masha’Allah. A quarterly Newsletter, regular digital updates via the social networking and a variety of publicity materials are important arms reaching out to existing and potential KEF supporters.
