Mary has been leading Iyengar yoga retreats in northern Michigan for over 20 years. Philosophy with Bob Gilbo Bob Gilbo studied Hindu philosophy with Ravi Ravindra and under Satya Narayana Das of the Jiva Institute in Vrndavan, as well as Edwin Bryant at Rutgers University. Bob edited Dr. Bryant's landmark translation and commentary on The Yoga Sutra of Patanjali (North Point Press, 2009). He has been studying Sanskrit since 2004. Leslie Dillingham Freyberg Through her study and practice of Vedic chanting, her love of Sanskrit and infectious sense of humor, Leslie has earned the reputation of leading engaging and meaningful courses in Sanskrit and chanting.

Mary Reilly

Teaching since 1982, Mary has been devoted to yoga and to the Iyengar tradition for over three decades. The cost for the full yoga camp is $375, and $450 with the three teacher training sessions. For just the weekend, Friday night through Sunday philosophy without teacher training: $225. Individual asana sessions are $25 for 90 minute classes, $35 for two hours, $45 for three hours, $20 for Pranayama and $25 for Philosophy./Chanting.Thursday Teacher training is Thursday $60, Sunday $60 and Tuesday $40.

The Studio: A beautiful, sunlit, fully equipped Iyengar Yoga studio in downtown Petoskey. Philosophy teacher Bob Gilbo and Chanting instructor Leslie Freyberg, will lead us in discussion and chanting at The Tree, a towering white pine on Mary’s property, providing both shade and a huge spirit. Time for us to enjoy Nature will be part of our yoga camp, especially at The Beach at the shore of Lake Michigan.
