DESCRIPTION
a Heesen Yacht Beyond BeliefTRANSCRIPT
What makes a Heesen so distinctive? Custom built in Holland, it is not just a matter of style but more
importantly, the contemporary application of engineering: the architecture of performance. Our concept
has evolved over 30 years and the experience we have accrued is unlike that of any other yacht builder in
the world. Building in steel to enormously demanding tolerances, the Heesen hull-form is unique – quite
simply no other ship shape so optimises the way a yacht moves through water. Our expertise in weight
reduction allows for the inclusion of exotic materials – marble, granite, rare woods and even metals,
without compromising performance. Indeed a Heesen is a Heesen because we are dedicated to one
principle: the performance of luxury.
y Secret is our ninth 47 metre, steel displacement
yacht. Her specially developed bulbous bow creates
an anti-wave for a smoother path through the water.
The result of this hull efficiency is a reduction in
the engine power needed to achieve any given
speed. Less power required means less fuel used.
My Secret attains a maximum speed of 15 knots and
was specifically designed to create the largest
possible internal volume under 500GT.
With a 4.000 mile range, My Secret is powerful and economical with great
stability both underway and at anchor using her zero speed stabilizers.
he 20 metre sundeck has enough space to provide three separate areas: soak up the sun in a forward Jacuzzi almost entirely
surrounded by sunpads; sit in the shade at the central bar and deck lounge or relax on the huge curved sofa that extends across
the entire beam of the deck.
n the upper deck, the large covered dining terrace has infinity views thanks to thin pillars and glass bulwarks. A
second dining area on the foredeck provides privacy when in port. The third option is on the main deck with a table
surrounded by built-in sofas.
nteriors by Bannenberg and Rowell evoke Californian
style of the 1940s and 1950s. The finest woods,
stones and metals have been expertly integrated
with our trademark precision and dedication to
weight reduction. The result – a striking design that
effortlessly combines practicality and extravagant
style. Bronze, leather and light and mid-tone wenge
detailing have been used throughout the yacht, with
intricate panels laid on the floors and other areas.
The sky lounge is a fusion of beautiful materials and textures. The concept was to combine vintage
furniture pieces with contemporary panelling and other surfaces using the same colour tones.
The skill was to flawlessly combine the two eras into the highest common denominator.
n the main deck, bleached wenge floorboards, white elm panelling and stainless steel, leather and marble details evoke the classic
Hollywood era. The entire yacht is an exceptionally complex design that includes innovative features such as the back-lit marble
wall with inset candle holders. Integrating delicate materials is a particular challenge for which we are very proud of our reputation.
Throughout this yacht all of the panelling and cabinetry has been crafted from light and mid-tone wenge and white elm, this tricolour of
timbers comes together in the striking three-tone pattern doors and floors. Furniture and panelling have been built by Heesen Yachts
Interiors and Sinnex working together as a team. Every join is perfect, every book panel – perfect. Normal standards for Heesen.
he full-beam, main deck master suite
features a large study and an impressive
bathroom, with a white Statuario marble
floor embedded with waves of dark
Noir St. Laurent marble. The enormous
bath was installed in the centre of the
room and clad in dark wenge and silver
travertine tiles.
right colours and patterns in the four

with white elm and pale leather offset
by fabrics from Armani Casa and Amy
Lau. Two double and two twin cabins
are augmented by Pullman berths.

A Heesen will always stand for individuality and quality in a world
where these ideals are increasingly compromised.
A Heesen will always be hand-built by craftsmen in Holland.
A Heesen will always be custom-built to combine the Owner’s ideas with our expertise.
A Heesen will always be the highest denominator of performance and luxury.
A Heesen will always look like a Heesen because it performs like a Heesen.

nyone looking to purchase a new yacht from Heesen, should be confident that the quality of the Company is
equal to that of the yachts. Frans Heesen founded the Company that bears his name in 1978. Building yachts
in aluminium with performance as a priority, overcoming challenges has always driven our spirit of
innovation. Having developed the most sophisticated pre-engineered platforms, our yachts are delivered
in a time scale and to a quality that is unsurpassed. Heesen is recognised as the world leader in
aluminium construction and it is particularly pleasing that our steel yachts consistently win major
awards. In one of the most modern construction facilities in the world, every aspect of every yacht is
geared towards achieving our exceptional standards of engineering. For the quality, at the price,
we believe Heesen yachts are the finest value in the world.
In 30 years we have delivered over 150 yachts. The current
range includes aluminium and steel, displacement, semi-
displacement and the new revolutionary fast displacement.
Our Oss shipyard has nine sheds and five dry docks. Each year,
over four million parts are meticulously used in the construction
of up to eight yachts. Privately owned, financially secure,
Heesen is large enough to cope with complex construction,
small enough to care about each project, motivated to pioneer
innovations and dedicated to continue the tradition of Dutch
quality shipbuilding.
In 1978 the shipyard started life as a visionary idea –
today it is a company called Heesen.
