LIBRARY

YMCAUST Library is a modern library to

fulfil the information needs of students,

research scholars, faculty and staff of

various Departments of the University. It is

housed in a fully air conditioned single

story building. The library building is

centrally located within easy reach from

all the Departments, hostels and

residential areas. The University Library

building has a total area of 7200 sq.ft. It

has two reading halls with a total capacity

of 155 seats. In the Periodical Section all

the journals, newspapers and magazines

have been displayed with previous issues

as well.

University Library has a rich collection of about 77,000 volumes in all the

streams of Engineering and Technology, Applied Sciences and Management. It

follows Open Access System. Library is subscribing a good number of journals,

magazines and newspapers for its readers. It is also subscribing more than

3300 e-journals and a good amount of e-book through E-ShodhSindhu

Consortium / individual subscription.

STUDENTS OUTREACH ACTIVITIES• Students of SAE club, sushant gaur and moksh won 2nd prize in escalade

zonals and won 3rd prize in escalade mains in IIT Guwahati

• A team including club members secured 9thrank all over indiaine - yantra robotics competition organized by IIT Bombay. Students of Microbird Club Yavika, Vivek, Madhur, Ketan, Keshav Aggarwal won 1st prize at Utkraanti’ 17 Zonals in IIT Madras.

• Students of Samarpan club Sahil, Gaurav, Manish participated in E-YANTRA-a project based competition of IIT Bombay and qualified for the zonal rounds.

• Students of Samarpan club Rajat, Saurabh participated in the MANEUVRE-an object picking competition of Techkriti’17 the annual tech fest of IITKanpur and got fourth position in zonals.

• Students of Samarpan club Vishal, Rohan participated in MAZESOLVER- a line follower robot based competition organized by IIT Kanpur and got fourth position in zonals.

• Student’s team cleared Baja Virtual (1st Round) with 71st rankout of 350 teams in which design of the vehicle is evaluated. Final Round: ClearedTechnical Inspection Round under the supervision of Dr. Navdeep Malhotra and Mr. Mukesh Gupta.
