Congratulations to our WoodburyPolice Department for anotherNJSACOP Accreditation.

Woodbury isn't just home to some greatpeople, parks, and sights - it's also hometo Gloucester County's most tenuredaccredited police department.

The New Jersey State Association for Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) offers a rigorousassessment program for NJ police departments that reviews administrative,personnel, operations, investigative, and arrestee/detainee handling functions, andincludes a community comment review, too.

In 1980, then-Councilman (and later, mayor) Donald Sanderson helped make Woodbury the first city in the United States to mandate recycling, built on the work of local Girl Scouts collecting recyclables at the supermarket (read more here).

With such a strong history, and with much pride, Woodbury needs your help. Your household recycling is an important part of Woodbury's legacy, recording 50% recycled solid waste. To keep the legacy and to avoid future costs,Woodbury reminds you to make recycling a habit in your household.
