Thus were born the Lemonaid Warriors - always up for Partieswith a Purpose, rocking their ‘hood with water bucket marches, backyardcarnivals, music festivals. Of course, our heroine also has a rock band, and -have you met Boo-Lu in 'Monster High!'? It's her! This ghoul, erh, girl is unstop-pable. Lulu's heart is with the water crisis in Africa, but her mission is all aboutmobilizing her generation for combining fun, adventure and friendship for a life-style to change the world. What do you do when you hear about climate change, clean energy solutions,and residents suffering from cold, harsh winters, while local resources are beingwasted and clogging drainage systems? ‘No time to wait!’ said fifth-graderCassandra Lin, as she combined a few threads for a perfect solution: Turn-Grease-Into-Fuel collects used cooking oils for recycling by biofuel companies.This system existed in San Francisco, but it was new to Westerly. So Cassandraand friends distributed thousands of flyers and calendars to restaurants, madeTV announcements, presentations, and now … a law! Business owners firstdoubted these 10 year-olds, but soon 10, 20, 100 restaurants started participating!TGIF has already donated their profit marge = $80,000 worth of heat to theneedy. Their mission is now scaling to their entire state, to universities, - andnow, they’ll train You to do it!

GABRIELLE POSARD

watched her sister working on a documentary film when a message got stuckin her mind: 'A quarter of the U.S. Population experiences hunger, yet 40% foodproduced is wasted.' At 12 years of age, Gabrielle started talking to grocersabout donating food that was near its sell-by-date. To alleviate legal liabilityconcerns, Gabrielle explained that President Clinton signed into law the GoodSamaritan Food Donation Act, protecting donors. Response has been amazing,impacts immediate. Her network of 4,000 picks up and distributes 20,000 poundsof food every month. "Food drives used to consist of non-perishable foods, lowin nutrition. We get foods with short shelf lives like fresh fruits and vegetables.People are so grateful, they get choked up because fresh produce is so expen-sive." Her logo has spread throughout San Diego County. Is your City next?

JULIA AND EMMA MOGUS

have 1000’s of volunteering hours between them and they love to read. Whenthey learned that First Nation kids in remote fly-in communities of NorthernOntario have no access to any books at all, they remembered the famous quote‘My ticket out of a life in poverty was reading’. They started Books With NoBounds to collect and buy 1,000’s of new and ‘like new’ books, meet officials,arrange airline transportation, fundraise and pack around the clock. Schoolscontribute with great enthusiasm. One year later, 18,000 books have been sentto all 49 communities, thank you letters are streaming, the sisters receive giftsin return and are invited to visit the communities. ‘We have only started! We areTeen Sisters on a Mission, and everyone can help: by donating books, fundsfor postage, and starting enormous book drives for Tribal Nation children inYour country!"

is not the only student who has seen films documenting how bad practices inbusiness and politics have led to water pollution, soaring prices, and very badhealth effects, even in her water rich country of Canada. But Robyn has turnedher shock into action! She joined a powerful coalition of experts and citizenswho have crafted a solution to safeguard water aquifers and rivers and provideabundant clean water for generations to come. is a passionate advocate of healthy foods, full transparency and the right toknow what we are eating. When she learned about mounting evidence ofGenetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) risks to our health, the environmentand bee colonies, Rachel started speaking up. During tv interviews, as Rachelshows images of rats grossly disfigured by tumors, moderators ask in shock'What's wrong with these rats?' 'They were fed a diet of GMO corn, by Monsanto.'They developed cancers, immune system breakdowns, impotence, the worstdiseases. Even the epidemic of allergies and attention disorders is being linkedto GMOs. MADISON AND RHIANNON

were preparing for their Girl Scout Bronze Award, when they discovered ashocking fact. And it was right in time for their favorite treat: Girl Scout cookies!The 11 year old friends were researching the endangered orangutan and foundthat the production of palm oil contributes to the destruction of the Orang Utans'rainforest habitat. In a powerful online campaign, they mobilized over 70,000people and generated such broad media coverage that Girl Scouts USA adopteda sustainable palm oil policy for their products as a result. This is a step in theright direction but the girls are not done yet. Madi and Rhiannon are workingto start a movement demanding responsible palm oil sources to ensure theprotection of the forests, animals, and people of Southeast Asia, South Americaand Africa. Join them in the fight!

Research localorganic grocery stores, farmers markets and contacts to farmersLEVEL 2 > Live for 1 or 2 weeks without GMOs. In the US or Canada, thisprobably means living without supermarkets and school menues. Your foodsources are organic stores, farmers markets and kind local farmers. Discovery!LEVEL 3 > Do a Face Your Farmer project. Visit local farmers, take lively, friendlyportrait photos, note their quotes about food, life and the people. Make anexhibit: online (send to us), at school and in public.LEVEL 3 > Combine your exhibit with a PhilanthroParty with delicious purelyfresh and self baked / cooked goodies. ALICIA SERRATOS

has always had a heart for people, animals, gardening and yummy foods. Atage six, she had a revelation: "Did you know that some GMOs make bugs'tummies explode? That can't be good." When she found out that even the GirlScout cookies she was selling contain GMOs, she started asking Girl Scoutsto go GMO-free. Her petition has passed 10,000 signatures and there is no endin sight. Alicia is also active in her school garden and meets with her schoolprincipal for making school lunches more healthy. For this purpose, she isdeveloping a GMO-free cookbook, all menus cooked and tested by herself!

WYATT WORKMAN

was seven years-old when he learned about the grave threats and impacts onthe ocean from pollution and plastic waste. A lover of the ocean, its fascinatingcreatures, and the arts, Wyatt combined his passions and created a claymationmovie. Eight months later, the movie premiered, starring 70 clay actors andWyatt’s best friends. The event was a huge success! A party, a workshop, andfundraiser all in one, the day washed $2,800 into the treasure chest of Wyatt’sfavourite conservation society, Oceana. The original ‘actors’ sold, Wyatt createddrawings, a book, and T-shirt. His movie is a smash hit in classrooms everywhere.Make sure to watch it and take the Ocean Hero Pledge. Join Wyatt's initiative:educate children, show the movie, create clay heroes and have lots of fun!

Document your experience with a daily blog post (Social Experiment).LEVEL 2 > Organize a film screening and fundraiser as part of a family friendlyevent. This can be a school festival, green festival, children's day... Tips: createa tent, show the film every 10 minutes. Create a set of clay film actors for displayand sale. Will you even create scenes in frames? Manage a big table with clayfish making activities for children. Most important: Wear Fish Costumes! was fooling around on the beach shooting fireworks, as a voice boomed throughthe dark ‘Stop it! Don’t you know it disturbs baby turtles trying to find their pathto the water?’ An 'old lady' appeared, her authority so strong that the party wasover. The next morning, as Zander walked into his kitchen and saw the samelady having coffee with his Mom, shock turned to amazement as he listened toLinda Soderquist, the State Permit Holder for Florida beach turtles, explainingthe turtles’ paramount need for safe hatching grounds. From this day, Zander'sworld has revolved around sea turtles and protection initiatives. At age 11, hecreated Turtle Talks, an educational Activity Book. 250,000 free copies havebeen distributed to schools worldwide! OLIVIA TAYLOR'S

journey started with a field trip to the park to look at some birds. Can you imaginehow awesome those little green birds were?! Olivia was hooked. At age 11,another magnificient bird entered here life: the Bearded Vulture. Only 200 pairsremain in the wild! Can you guess what their biggest threat is? The portrayalof vultures in popular media as ugly and dangerous. So Olivia set out to showhow that is all wrong. They are beautiful harmless beings and they even protectus from disease. When she met some vultures up-close and personal, hercommitment was honoured: a splendid young bird was named after her. WhenOlivia's vulture was found dead, Olivia climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and started‘4 Elements Conservation’ in support of more new friends: Sharks, White Lions& Rhinos! Olivia tells you: The Truth is: they need your help. NOW!

LEVEL 1 > Feel into the music and sound. We seek music (and art) conveyingthe Spirit of the Change Generation: "I want to see this awesome planet andits beautiful people to live, and I will make it happen. We will make it happenas a generation!" Share the music with us! It can be by adults, too. Be aware:we do not seek 60's or angry music.
