Camp MI Way is a fun, stress-free, ’50s style indoor camp. Students with multiple issues (motor, vision, hearing, speech, cognition, etc.) are provided with numerous opportunities to interact with peers and adults in various camp-related multi-sensory activities. Due to physical restrictions and health impairments many of these students rarely have opportunities to participate in summer camp experiences so this is a very exciting time for them. Camp activities include opening ceremonies where campers bring in the colors and raise the flag. We have tent time, communication station; cave exploration, water fun and a closing campfire. Don’t forget Production; we sing, dance, wrestle and more. Volunteer counselors work one on one with each camper. The camper and counselor explore together, laugh, play and have a great time. The friendships formed and the crazy times at camp are truly memorable!

There is a three day training/ orientation required for all interested and returning volunteers. Orientation & Training June 5-7 8:30am-2:45pm
