year of faith

i believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth...

God is light and in him there is no darkness.” (1 Jn 1:5)

i believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord...“Christ Jesus, … though he was in the form of God,did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness.” (Phil 2:6-7)

i believe in the Holy Spirit...“God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” (Rom 5:5)

i believe in the Holy Catholic Church...“Christ loved the Church and handed himself over for her to sanctify her, cleansing her by the bath of water with the word.” (Eph 5:25-26)

i believe in the communion of saints...We, though many, are one body in Christ and individually parts of one another. (Rom 12:5)

i believe in the forgiveness of sins...“The blood of his Son Jesus cleanses us from all sin.” (1 Jn 1:7)

i believe in the resurrection of the body...“If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also.” (Rom 8:11)

i believe in life everlasting.“When Christ your life appears. Then you too will appear with him in glory.” (Col 3:4)
