ANSWERSYear 4 Maths meeting-complete on your whiteboard
Lesson Objective: To be able to divide 3-digit numbers with remainders.
Success Criteria:• I can use number bonds to break multiples of 100
before dividing.• I can represent my answers using the column
method.
ACTIVE MATHS: (With adult’s permission)-Imagine you are following a recipe but you are making it for less people than suggested. This means that you need to divide the amounts of the ingredients.-Using dried ingredients in your house. Get an amount by weighing it, and then calculate dividing your weight by 3 or even 4. What is your new amount? (quotient) What do you do with the remainders?
For example: 315g of pasta to be divided by 3.Perhaps you even have a recipe which you can follow with your adult and practice your multiplication or division skills.
