Year 4 Home School Learning Letter

I hope that you are all well and have had a restful Half Term holiday, full of fun -

I am very excited to be back with you this week and I hope you are as eager as I am to get learning! It is important that you continue to put 100% into your home learning, so that you can continue to achieve those personal goals you set yourselves in January!

Please can you send me your Maths Key Skills paper and your ‘Friday Free Write’, from the week before Half Term, if you have not already done so. It is important that I receive these on a weekly basis. The Year 4 email address is: yearfour@croston-pri.lancs.sch.uk . Thank you for using the email, to send me any work as soon as it is completed. It is allowing me to assess the work and provide feedback, where necessary. It also helps with the content of the Y4 Feedback lesson on Thursday afternoons.

The Y4 Live Feedback Lesson on Thursday’s at 2pm, is a chance for us to really celebrate the work you have completed and address any misconceptions or common errors, from your learning. I feel that these lesson have been really beneficial and I would encourage as many of you to join them as possible. This week, we will also be discussing your thoughts on World Orphan Week, following on from Class Worship on Wednesday morning. I am looking forward to discussing your thoughts on this, the UN’s Convention on the Rights of the Child and any ideas you might have on how we can raise awareness. So, it would be lovely to see as many of you as possible join this lesson on Thursday afternoon.

‘LIVE’ Zoom lessons will resume this week, I am really looking forward to seeing you all! This week, there are three live lessons (all the details are on the timetable below), I hope you can join me for them!

We’ve done a lot of walking this Half Term. It was so cold, on this morning, the canal had completely frozen over!!!

Jorja and I also completed our Harry Potterthon –it took 19 hours and 39 minutes or 1,178 minutes to watch

all the films – back to back -Please share any photos of other activities you have been doing, baking, sports, riding your bike, arts and crafts etc.
