RE The Good Samaritan Read the parable in the Bible

Luke 10:25-37 or watch: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesi

ze/clips/zcyr87h & https://www.youtube.com/w

atch?v=osfQg4yKtq8 Design a ‘Wanted’ poster for The Good Samaritan. This should include a description of what the Samaritan did and his key attributes e.g. kindness, empathy, justice, self-less Ext – How can we be good Samaritans today? Who are examples of Good Samaritans in the world today?

There is a separate PDF with a wanted poster template you can use on the school website

Science – States of Matter Have a look at this game about States of Matter: https://www.turtlediary.com/game/what-is-the-matter.html#:~:text=What%27s%20the%20Matter%20is%20a%20fun%20game%20for,option%2C%20and%20make%20the%20little%20turtle%20jump%20aboard. Your task is to create a ‘What’s the Matter?’ game! You can make it a board game with counters and a dice, you could make flashcards with questions and points or you could code your game on Scratch (think back to the maths game we created at the beginning of the year).

Music

BBC Ten pieces at home https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/ten-pieces/ten-pieces-at-home/zjy3382 This week: Get moving and create turntable inspired choreography with Sadler's Wells…

Have a look at this week’s Challenge – using movements and gestures – first watch the video of Clara Amfo and Gabriel Prokofiev and then watch the second video to see if you can create a “table top dance” sequence. Post this onto the Dojo so we can all see!

Music/ART – BBC Ten pieces at home https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/ten-pieces/ten-pieces-at-home/zjy3382

Week Seven: Illustration inspired by Stravinsky's 'The Firebird' – As we have been looking at Myths, we thought it would be a good idea for you to look at this mythical creature “The Firebird”. First watch Claudia Winkleman discover the magical story and then watch illustrator James Mayhew and be inspired! Upload your pieces to the Dojo for us all to see! Listen to the music as you create your masterpiece – you can use any medium you would like – paint, oil pastels, chalk etc – be creative!

PSHE As we all know, things have been very different this school year. We would like you to have your own reflection time on this year and things that you hope for next year – when you go into year 5. We have attached a PDF of “Hopes and Dreams” that we would like you to complete. Think about the things you have found difficult this year and what you plan to achieve next year – these will be given to your new teacher – they will be able to support you with anything you are worried about.

Please do not worry if you cannot complete all of the suggested activities. We are all doing the best that we can during this difficult and strange time.

Having said that, if you want more to do, please see websites such as BBC Bitesize https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize and Oak

Academy https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom which both provide daily lessons, appropriate for each year group.
