One day workshop on “New Methodology of NAAC”

19th July 2017

A one day workshop on “New Methodology of NAAC” was organized by

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Veer Wajekar A.S.C. College, Phunde on

19th June 2017. A workshop was inaugurated by Prin. Dr. G. T. Sangale.

The resource person for the workshop was NAAC Peer Team member Prin.

Dr. N. S. Dharmadhikari, Pune, share his views with respect to new guidelines of

NAAC metrics. The teachers enlightened with his speech covered aspects like

Qualitative and Quantitative metrics, IIQA, QIF, etc.

A workshop was divided into two parts as QnM and QlM. The lecture was

proved to successful due to the valuable guidance and creative support by the Hon.

Prin. Dr. G. T. Sangale.

“Use of ICT as a Teaching Tool”

A lecture by IQAC Coordinator

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Veer Wajekar A.S.C. College, Phunde

organized a lecture for teachers on “Use of ICT as a Teaching Tool”. A lecture

delivered by IQAC Coordinator, Dr. R. B. Patil involved online courses available as

module like courser, edx, NEPTL, etc.

His lecture helps teachers to understand how to retrieve online resources for

students. He also explained about Online Quiz for updating knowledge of students

in respective subject.

The program was covered under Staff Academy. Vice Principal Dr. V. V.

Mahamuni chaired the session and Mr. R. D. Kamble proposed vote of thanks.







Five day

Rayat Inspire Camp

A five day Rayat Inspire Camp was conducted by Internal Quality Assurance

Cell (IQAC), Veer Wajekar A.S.C. College, Phunde on 26th to 30th November 2018

organized by Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara for neighboring high school

students. 30 students of T. H. Wajekar A.S.C. College, Phunde were participated.

The camp was inaugurated by chief guest Dr. P. R. Pawar, Associate

professor in Zoology, M.P.A.S.C. College, Panvel, also address students on “Marine

Pollution”. Hon. Prin. G. T. Sangale was President of the inaugural ceremony.

Conduction of National activities

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) initiated some National activities and

conducted online as follows:

1. Organization of live online broadcasting of programme “Pariksha Pe

Charcha” of Hon. Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi.

2. Conducted Online pledge by Central Vigiliance Commission (CVC)







Bridge and Orientation Program for entry level students

Bridge & orientation Program was initiated by IQAC for all first year students

every year. This program is run for a week. It includes some basic level lectures

made students friendly with the subject. It also help in bridging the gap between

12th standard and University level curriculum of each subject.

This program also help students in understanding University Examination

pattern, teachers details them about various curricular and co-curricular activities

to be undertaken during the year. Students also start comparing difference in

higher secondary and University education status.

During one lecture teachers made student aware about discipline in the

campus, detailed about use of library, ICT facilities available in the college.

“Voters Awareness Programme”

for

Students and staff

24th July 2017


has organized “Voters Awareness Programme” in the college for students and staff.

The programme was chaired by Hon. Prin. G. T. Sangale. The chief guest as

resource person was Mr. Santosh Pawar, Muncipal corporation, Uran. The program

was not for to aware students to vote but also to show the new EVM machine and

its understanding.

The students realized the seriousness of voting and showing interest in

registering them for new voters ID.

The Vice principal of college Dr. V. V. Mahamuni and Dr. S. G. Jagadhani

was also present during the activity. The teaching staff also enlightened by the

speech of Mr. Santosh Pawar stating current situation of Voters of Uran Taluka.







One day Workshop on “E-content Development”

23 September 2018


has organized One day workshop on “e-content development” for teachers on 23rd

September 2018.

An activity was organized to learn the online modules to develop e-resources

and made available for students online. The workshop was chaired by Hon. Prin. G.

T. Sangale and resource person available was Mr. Sudhir Kochale from Digitizing

Nation, Mumbai.

The modules taught by Mr. Kochale were like Thinglink, Padlet,

Screencastomatic, Ted ed, You Tube, Jeopardylabs, video notes, voice thread, etc.

Teachers prepared few videos on the same day and also uploaded on

Institution website.

has organized One day workshop on “e-content development” for teachers on 11th

May 2018.

An activity was chaired by Hon. Prin. G. T. Sangale and resource person

available was Mr. Sudhir Kochale from Digitizing Nation, Mumbai.

Following lectures were conducted by resources person:

1. Emerging Trends in Engineering and Higher Education. This was an

overview of how technology is changing course delivery and course content.

Green Audit/Biodiversity Audit

13th December 2018


has conducted Green/Biodiversity Audit of the Institution.

The purpose of the audit was to ensure that the practices followed in the

campus are in accordance with the Green Policy adopted by the institution. The

methodology includes physical inspection of the campus, observation and review of

the documentation, interviewing key persons and data analysis, and

recommendations.

It works on the several facets of “Green Campus‟ including Water

Conservation, Tree Plantation, Waste Management, Paperless Work, Alternative

Energy and Mapping of Biodiversity. With this in mind, the specific objectives of the

audit are to evaluate the adequacy of the management control framework of

environment sustainability as well as the degree to which the Departments are in

compliance with the applicable regulations, policies and standards. It can make a

good impact on student health and learning college operational costs and the

environment.

Gender Audit

13th December 2018


has conducted Gender Audit of the Institution.

In view of the above the IQAC of the College has forwarded a proposal in

2018 to the College Development Committee (CDC) to conduct Gender Audit of the

College. The CDC approved the suggestion and directed the IQAC for its

Objectives of Gender Audit:

To identity the areas of gender imbalance and to recognize their

cause.

To examine the gender policies of the college and to understand the

needs and interest of both male and female.

To take active steps to establish a gender balance in decision making

processes in all areas of the college activities.

To suggest measures for bridging the gender gap, if any exists.

To adopt measures for prevention of sexual harassment at the

college.

To promote growth of gender equality in all aspects of college campus

life.

In order to meet the above objectives, the Gender Audit Committee combined

physical inspection with a review of relevant documentation and interviews.

Physical inspection was carried out by the Gender Audit Committee in the College

campus on 13th December 2018. The committee also undertook the task of

reviewing all the relevant documents including Gender Policy Document. Other

relevant documents and standards were also reviewed. The committee also

conducted brief interviews with students and staff of the college.

Felicitation of Teachers for their Academic & Research related activities

during Annual Day


has initiated an activity of felicitating teachers for their Academic & Research

related activities during Annual Day.

IQAC screen the documents for achievements like Research Publications in

the International Journal of repute, Research Projects undertaken, Books

published, Award winners, special recognitions, etc.

IQAC also screens two best readers (One Teacher and One Student) by

receiving information from Library. This activity helps them to motivate for further

improvements and achievements.







Alumni meet on occasion of celebration of 25th year of Institution

establishment

16th February 2016

A special program was held in association with Alumni Association on

occasion of celebration of 25th year of Institution establishment. A specific title is

given as “Saptarangi: Ek Diwas Maza Mazyasathi” means “My day for me”

organized on 16th February 2016 in the College Campus.

The program was chaired by Hon. Dr. Anil Patil, Chairman, Rayat Shikshan

Sanstha, Satara.

An intention behind the program to gather the Alumni for various

developmental activities. The program was also eyeing on forthcoming Centenary

celebration of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara.

Hon. Prin. Dr. G. T. Sangale introduces the theme of the program and also expect

devotion and dedication of College Alumni for the development of College.

President of Alumni Association, Mr. Sudhir Gharat address the alumni and

expect more effective initiation for College development. He also announced that all

alumni should gather whenever Association called for any activity in the College.

The program was graced by Hon. P. J. Patil, Chairman, Raigad Region, Rayat

Shikshan Sanstha, Satara, Prin. Dr. R. B. Bawdhankar, Prin. Dr. Ganesh Thakur
