– 4 or more ATAR courses.• GENERAL pathway. Achieve a certificate II (or
higher) in a Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification + enrol in 5 additional courses to meet the WACE requirement.
(About one third of Australia’s senior secondary students are presently enrolled in a VET in Schools course.)
VET through LJBC
Most, if not all 2015 General students will continue with their VET qualification into 2016.
A number of 2015 VET qualifications were for 1 year. These students have an opportunity to commence another 1 year course.
Additional VET courses
Through CareerLink 2016• Certificate IV in Business (1 year)• Certificate IV in Community Services (1 Year)
These qualifications will give students the opportunity to consider further studies at a university. (Along side a Certificate IV a student may have to satisfy competence in English)
AUSTRALIAN QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORKThis framework demonstrates the value of VET qualifications for students and the pathway from TAFE
into university. Through the College we give students access to certificate levels from I to IV. Completion of a certificate IV can assist students enrolling into a number of universities.
