Creating Rhythms

Please cut out each note and note group and paste them on the STAVES (music lines) on page 3, to create your own rhythms.

REMEMBER: Each note is worth a certain amount of beats which also means how LONG or SHORT that note is.

You will add up each note to EQUAL the correct amount of BEATS PER BAR.

REMEMBER:

BELOW IS A STAVE (THE 5 MUSIC LINES):

BELOW ARE 2 BARS WITH 4 BEATS PER BAR, A BARLINE DIVIDES THE BARS, WITH A RHYTHM EXAMPLE:

1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4

YOU CAN ALSO HAVE 3 BEATS PER BAR OR 2 BEATS PER BAR, WITH A RHYTHM EXAMPLE:

1 2 3 1 2

engsyd1
Page 36: YEAR 1 - Week 2 Learning from Home Schedule

You will paste your notes onto the STAVES to create your RHYTHMS that EQUAL the amount of BEATS PER BAR:

MAKE SURE YOU PASTE IN THE NOTES TO EQUAL 4 BEATS PER BAR

Beats 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4

YOU CAN MAKE THIS ONE EQUAL 2 BEATS PER BAR:

Beats 1 2 1 2

NOW CLAP OR PLAY THE RHYTHMS YOU HAVE CREATED!
