Autumn leaves

Warm and cool colours

Draw or trace the outline of some large leaves. You could collect a few from outside to help you with this.

Add detail to the inside of the leaves.

Outline the leaves in black pencil or marker.

Use warm colours (red, orange and yellow) to colour the leaves.

Use cool colours (blue and green) to colour the background.

You may like to experiment with paint or crayons if you have these available.

The picture below can help you with your planning and ideas.

1. Cut strips from the A4 Sheet

2. Take one strip and join the ends with glue, making a cylinder shape

3. Take the next strip, put it through your last link before joining the ends.

4. Measure your chain using a tape measure or ruler

How long was your chain? Stick your chain in your learning journal with the measurements
