SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE FUTURE OF THE CYBERSECURITY INDUSTRY. BECOME A SPONSOR TODAY.Now in its eighth year, The 2019 SAE CyberAuto Challenge is a five-day practicum-based workshop where students work on real cars to find real answers to the challenges posed by cybersecurity in automobiles.

The Challenge provides students with an interactive learning format through a series of instructor-led, practical learning sessions and discussions. Students are placed on teams comprised equally of student ts and professionals, including automotive engineers, government engineers, and ethical “white-hat” hackers. The teams work to identify automotive cybersecurity trends and develop talent in a new technical discipline in a high-tech industry.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has stated that an educated workforce is crucial to improving motor vehicle cybersecurity. In their Cybersecurity Best Practices for Modern Vehicles document, NHTSA noted its support for educa-tional competitions containing cybersecurity elements such as the SAE International’s CyberAuto Challenge.

Vehicle Donation and Team Sponsor | $40,000Only six (6) opportunities available. Reserved for OEMs.

• Provide one (1) vehicle as a “learning platform” to addresscurrent vehicle electrical/electronic systems for the hands-onportion of the program

• Data captured from OEM vehicle during instruction isproperty of the vehicle owner and is not shared beyondthat OEM.
