Yardage Guide
Welcome to Marriott’s Griffin Gate Resort & Golf Club
Set in the rolling green meadows of Kentucky’s horse country, long admired for its fabled horse farms and landmarks, the Griffin Gate Resort remains a breed apart. With its outstanding facilities, superb dining, luxurious accommodations and impressive meeting capabilities, you’ll discover an atmosphere equally as conducive to relaxation as it is for taking care of business.
• 14 meeting rooms with over 13,000 square feet of total meeting space
• Championship 18-hole golf course
• Kentucky’s only Mobile Four-star/AAA Four-diamond rated resortThe Griffin Gate golf course was designed by architect Rees
Jones, son of the famous Robert Trent Jones. Built in 1980, Griffin Gate has quickly matured into one of the top 75 resort courses in the country as voted by Golf Digest. For seven years, the Senior PGA Tour (now the Champions Tour), challenged Griffin Gate’s beautiful rolling hills of Kentucky Bluegrass. You too will find challenges of your own sequestered among the seven water hazards and 64 bunkers.
We hope this book is helpful as you tour the layout. If our professional staff can do anything to make your round more enjoyable, please let us know.
Thanks again for choosing Marriott’s Griffin Gate Resort. We hope you will return often to our beautiful facility.

This dogleg left par 5 is one of the most thought provoking holes
on the course. Absolute concentration and a fair assessment of your skills
are a must here. The approach to the

From the gold tees, this may be
the best hole on the course. It can be
absolutely devilish. The bunkers at the corner of the
dogleg force you away from the green. Once you safely negotiate
the tee shot, your approach is to a superbly designed, unforgiving green.

This dogleg left par 5 was typically
the toughest hole during the Champions Tour event. The
test of nerves begins with the tee shot. If you are the bold sort, you may attempt to reach this deep, undulating green in
two. Many not so subtle dangers await you.
