WORLDWIDE PERFORMANCE
EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR PROJECTS
INTEGRATED PRODUCTION
The Serge Ferrari Group is the leading fabric weav-ing and coating specialist in Europe for composite membranes. The Group has three industrial sites in France, Switzerland and its own recycling facili-ty Texyloop®, in Italy. It maintains close ties with its customers and specifiers in more than 80 countries through its subsidiaries and its network of special-ized distributors. Created in 1973, Serge Ferrari
has developed an innovative global model, based on quality, innovation and sustainability.
The conception of Serge Ferrari composite mem-branes follows strong values in terms of sustainabil-ity: the materials are extreme durable in all weather conditions and 100 % recyclable. Serge Ferrari de-veloped its own recycling process Texyloop®. In the recycling plant in Ferrara (Italy) nearly 2000 t of old materials are recycled every year and transformed in new products, like membranes, hoses, non-wovens etc.
Serge Ferrari is the composite membrane specialist for applications in several market segments with de-manding requirements, such as durability for light-weight architecture, thermal comfort for solar pro-tection and appealing design for indoor and outdoor furniture.
For the marine business Serge Ferrari presents its performant Stamoid range for covers and crew pro-tection. But also the product ranges Soltis, Batyline and Stamskin are, due to their great performance and durability, suitable for applications on board.
Serge Ferrari Group values of tenacity, reliability and generosity are reflected in its outstanding ad-vantages of quality, productivity and eco-design, as well as innovation. With it’s unique and innovative processing system, Serge Ferrari Group masters all production steps in its manufacturing sites in Europe from product development to recycling:

TARA – IMPROVEMENTS UNDER EXTREME CONDITIONS
LONGTERM DURABILITY
SUSTAINABILITY WITH RECYCLING
For 10 years, Tara organizes expeditions to study the impact of climate changes and understands the ecolo gical crisis on our oceans. These scientific ex-peditions are conducted in collaboration with labor- atories and prestigious scientific institutions. Tara Expeditions also acts specifically to enhance the environmental awareness of the general public and youth. Serge Ferrari equipped Tara with all covers and crew protection membranes, such as cockpit enclosures or covers. The cockpit enclosure helped to protect the Tara crew as said the captain: “During the Arctic trip, we suffered many storms, one of them was really hard. That storm was just before our departure from Brittany.
The waves and the wind were so powerful! We could see everything happening outside, but we were protected by the igloo!” (Samuel Audrain, Captain) In 2014, after more than four years of sailing around the world and in the Arctic, Tara realizes an expe-dition in the Mediterranean. It includes: a scientific component on plastic pollution and another part on awareness on many Mediterranean environmental issues. The crew protections on such missions are extreme important. On board of Tara the crew worked a lot in a stationary position under an overpowering heat and no wind. In this situation the sunshades were very useful during the different stops in the warm coun-tries.
For over 12 years, Amasele, this superb CS36 is equipped with a Serge Ferrari membrane. Having Lighthouse Point, Florida, as home port – a geo-graphical area well known internationally for its natural outdoor tests – Stamoid Top is used for the bimini top, tested in extreme weather conditions. Amasele has sailed thousands of miles on the East Coast of the United States from Miami to Boston and extensively in the Bahamas with the many varied ocean conditions these areas have to offer.
The climatic conditions in Florida are within the most extreme conditions on the world: Sun, high tempera-tures, high humidity and condensation. For Serge Ferrari Stamoid Top this wasn’t a problem. Even after 12 year of use under extreme conditions the membrane gives excellent results concerning color, aspect, mechanical properties, flexibility and waterproofness.
Navigation at sea is often a family passion, passed on from parents to children. It’s important for them to preserve nature by using eco-friendly materials. Choosing Serge Ferrari materials, you will be certain to use a 100 % recyclable material which complies with ecological requirements.
Thanks to the recycling process Texyloop, developed by Serge Ferrari itself, your covers, bimini tops and all others PVC coated polyester materials on board, could be recycled and could give birth to new like membranes for green roofs.
Composite membranes of Serge Ferrari are 100 % recyclable and get a 2nd life for example as membranes for green roofs
Best performances even after more than 12 years under extreme conditions
TESTIMONIALS

Regular maintenance of Serge Ferrari mem-branes according to our recommendations keeps them looking like new. They have several mold and dirt barriers, that prolong their ser-vice life and maintain a perfect look. For com-plete cleaning, we recommend using Cleaner 500 by Serge Ferrari.
Stamoid Edge offers perfect finishing for cov-ers, awnings, sprayhoods, biminis, etc. It can be used to create a variety of designer combina-tions with different color schemes.
Silcord is an ultra-high-strength elastic strap made with silicone yarns and a Batyline sheath specifically developed for tensioning marine membranes. Its exceptional components ensure main functions without loosing its technical properties overtime (excellent resistance to UV and marine environment).
Waterproofing resin for reliable sealing of membrane seams.(This resin requires specific packaging for inter-national transports. Please contact us for more information.)
