DOWNTON ABBEY COSTUME TEAYou’ll feel as though you’re visiting the “Crawley Family” when you join us for a high tea on this fun, new tour inspired by the hit television series Downton Abbey. Treat yourself to a full tea service at the historic Kellogg House, hosted by a staff dressed to the nines in full Downton Abbey style. Built in 1898, this exquisite home, with its asymmetrical shape, faux tower and predominantly decorated dormer, is a late example of Queen Anne-style Victorian architecture. The interior of the house has several unusual features that reflect Kellogg’s keen interest in ships. The most prominent is the mast, salvaged from a ship in San Francisco, that stretches from floor to ceiling in the center of the house.

After tea, you’ll have time to explore the 12-acre Heritage Museum complex – a cultural and natural history center featuring several buildings from the 1890s set amid extensive floral gardens and citrus groves. For added fun, you are welcome to dive into your vintage wardrobe and come dressed as your favorite character from the show!

COMMUNITY OUTREACH CAMPAIGN 2015

BETTER CHOICES, BETTER LIVES, BETTER FUTURES

Choices. You could say that’s what we offer here at Mission Valley – a variety of choices that help the youth and families of our community live better lives, make better choices and ultimately create a brighter future.

Our ability to provide those choices is dependent on the success of our Community Outreach Campaign. Last year, we provided vital programs and services to thousands in our community through campaign donations. In 2015, we’re asking for your help to make that happen again.

Your contributions give us the means to offer more choices and strengthen those already in place, all with the YMCA’s mission as a guide.

To make a donation, contact Barb Madsen ([email protected], 619-298-3576 ext. 11215).

THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATION!
