It gives us immense pleasure to invite you all to the 21st Annual Meeting of International Society of Addiction Medicine to be held in New Delhi, India from 13th to 16th November 2019. The theme of the conference is “Addiction in a Rapidly Changing World”. We assure you a memorable four day conference at New Delhi which will include several symposia, invited lectures, workshops, free papers and posters built into the schedule.

Delhi, the venue of ISAM 2019 is a vibrant city, where old coexists with the new. The history of the city dates back over a millennia and offers rich cultural heritage. Delhi offers a range of culinary and sight-seeing experiences. The city is well connected with flights from all over the world. Abstract Submission

Proposal Submission for Symposium/ Workshop

• Proposals must be submitted via the Conference website only. Only submissions via the online

submission form will be sent to the Review Committee and those submitted by fax or e-mail will not be

accepted.

• Please note the requirements for proposals:

• Main title of the symposium/workshop

• Name of the proposer

• Sub-topics with names of presenters (maximum 5 presenters per session)

• Two learning objectives per symposium (up to 50 words)

• Brief description of the symposium/workshop (max. 250 words)

• Brief bio-data of the proposer (up to 50 words each)

• Abstract of each presentation in the symposium/workshop

• The proposer should receive the acceptance of every speaker in their session prior to submission.

• Only the proposer will receive notification of the final Scientific Committee decision, and he/she is

responsible to communicate the result to all other speakers.

• Registration is pre-requisite for submission of the proposal.

• Proposal submission deadline: 31st May, 2019

Abstract Submission for Oral Communication/ Posters

• Abstracts must be submitted via the Conference website only. Only abstracts submitted via the online

submission form will be sent to the Scientific Committee for review. Abstracts submitted by fax or e-mail

will not be accepted.

• Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract. Please note that there are no limits on the

number of abstracts which can be submitted, however, each individual will be selected to present a

maximum of two presentations (either Oral or E-Poster presentation).

• Abstracts must be original and must not have been published or presented at any other prior meeting. If,

however, the abstract to be presented is on a topic you have used before, but now have developed a new

poster or presentation with a varied viewpoint (or focused on a different aspect of the research) then you

are welcome to submit the abstract.

• Abstracts may not be edited/updated after final submission. You are welcome to bring an updated

abstract onsite with you.

• Conflicts of Interest / Disclosure: Work submitted for presentation must include an acknowledgment of

funding sources of commercial nature and/or consulting or holding of significant equity in a company that

could be affected by the results of the study.

• Registration is pre-requisite for submission of the proposal.

• Your abstract is not successfully submitted until you receive a confirmation e-mail after clicking the final

submit button. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, please contact the secretariat.

• The Conference Scientific Committee will determine whether abstracts will be accepted. They will

endeavor to schedule abstracts according to authors’ presentation preferences (oral/poster) but reserve

the right to decide on the final form of presentation.

• Abstracts for free papers/posters must be submitted with the following sections: Background, Objective,

Methodology, Results, and Conclusions Please note that abstracts must be SUBMITTED before the

deadline to ensure they are sent to review for inclusion in the Scientific Program.

Pre and Post Conference Tours

New Delhi Tour : Duration: 04 hours Lotus Temple - It is the Bahai house of worship and a fairly recent construction, and is largely admired for its architecture. Qutub Minar - The minar (tower) was built in the year 1212 A.D and stands at a height of 72.5 mtrs in the courtyard of the Quwwat-ul-Islam masjid. This is the oldest historical monument in Delhi and is a must see for any visitor to this city. Humayun's Tomb - Humayun's tomb is believed to have been designed by his widow. Its plan, based on the description of Islamic paradise gardens, is known to have inspired the Taj Mahal and many later Mughal tombs. This type of garden is known as a charbagh and is based on a grid.

Old & Central Delhi Tour : Duration: 04 hours Red Fort - A fascinating building, built with red sandstones is an example of the rich Mughal architecture. Red Fort is a venue to the Independence Day parade of India. Jama Masjid - Is the biggest masjid in India, built by Shahjahan in 1650 A.D. President House - Situated on Raisina Hill this was built to be the official residence of the Viceroy, and later became the official residence of the President of India India Gate - Originally known as the All India War Memorial, built in the memory of the 90,000 Indian soldiers killed in the First World War, is a free standing arch with a height of 42.5 mtrs, designed and built by Edwin Lutyens in 1931. Parliament House -This is a huge circular, colonnaded building where the Indian parliament meets.
