IBM System x

This section summarizes all the IBM System x servers that are currently available. One ormore pages are devoted to each server, depending on the number and type of models that

are available:

Standard models Express models Workload optimized models

Express models are specially configured to make it easier for customers to order complete

systems. Express models typically add memory, disk drives, RAID adapters, optical drivesand other components over what the standard models normally include.

Workload optimized models are also carefully configured to meet the requirements of aparticular workload such as database or virtualization. Similar to Express models, these

workload optimized models contain additional components such as memory, RAID andnetwork adapters, and storage.
