Three times while opening a message after migration, I get a message that says "Sorry, we're having trouble opening this item. This could be temporary, but if you see it again you might want to restart Outlook. Network problems are preventing connection to Microsoft Exchange."

Outlook won't open. I receive "Error: OLMAPI32.dll". Then Outlook closes without any other info.

Can't login to Skype. Get: "Can't sign in to Skype for Business. Skype for Business couldn't find a Skype for Business server for Vermont.gov. There might be an issue with the Domain Name System (DNS) configuration for your domain. See KB2566790 for details and contact your system admin."

Opening webmail tells you to use a different link that has "vtlottery" in the link. Seems to work just fine, but it's strange to see "vtlottery" there.

This morning, the Office 2013 folder in my Start Menu was empty except for InfoPath Designer 2013 and InfoPath Filler 2013.

I had to open each Office 365 executable individually in order for them to run at all and to make their respective file associations. Only then did the icons show up in the Start Menu, and open. But I had to kill each task in Task Manager after the first run of each Office app because each just sat there "loading...". Everything seems to be working now, I think. Just wanted to let you know.

I am unable to past the screen shot in here. but every time I log into O365 i get this message to cleick through. I will send it to you VIA email.

I can't enter a screenshot here in this web form........is there a way to remove the delete option from being available when you highlight a message and want to flag it? The delete symbol shows up next to the flag and could make it easy to delete the item when trying to flag it as important.

quarantine emails... A) It took 24 hours to receive a quarantine notification after I sent 2 emails from my personal home account, and they were flagged as spam for no reason. Just sent 2 photos to myself.

B) How do you delete quarantined messages?

C) How long do quarantined messages stay in quarantine? I.E. how long do I have to "release" or "report as not junk"?

D) Can we preview a message in the quarantine so we can decide it it's spam or not?

E) How do you say "yes, this is junk"?

The pilot webpage is out of date it states the following:Pilot Testing

I am unable to login to outlook. I am unable to access Outlook. I typed in my email address & password as instructed but it just keeps asking for my credentials. I am also unable to access the office online portal. The portal message is "We don't recognize this user ID or password"

Outlook works, but is very slow when navigating around, otherwise seems to be sending/receiving ok. OWA works just fine. iPhone will not make email connection with built in app, or Outlook mobile app, asks for a server.

O365 Pilot: Unable to sign into Outlook 2010. Opened Outlook this morning and a Windows Security box popped (see attached). When I enter my email address as the password (also tried entering my usual computer password) the Windows Security box just blinks, Outlook doesn't open but just indicates "loading profile" but seems stuck - not completing. How long should this take assuming it's working correctly and/or please advise what I should be doing to access Outlook. Many thanks!

Samantha is unable to get into her Vermont.gov email from any location (phone, web, and desktop outlook). When attempting to login the error pops up saying that the ID and password are not recognized by the system. She was recently upgraded to Office 365 as part of the pilot, if that matters. Amy can not access her email from her desktop, she keeps getting the loging prompt.

She was able to log in from OWA but it says her mailbox has not been updated since 9/18.

I cannot login to my account and neither can Morgan. I see that Sean Cousino did not migrate and we will update Stephanie.

I keep getting prompted for password when I open outlook. I put my email address and password in and hit save credentials but it keeps coming back. Also tried to login via the portal and it tells me error with username or password.

I am unable to convert my mailbox to the updated settings to access my email and begin testing. I get various error messages which I am attempting to attach screen shots of, however it doesn't appear to be allowing me to upload those. In case it won't let me upload them the first is a screen shot of my "state" account login (which looks different than the screen shot in your email from this weekend) which has vsms\john.gonyea listed as my login. I have tried entering my password at this screen for both this as well as with my email address. Both then lead me to another screen which tells me it is trying to redirect me to a different email server that appears to be for O365. (this also looks different than your screenshots) When I choose to allow this and click ok, it brings up another message to re-enter my login info because either my login or password are incorrect. I've tried restarting outlook and the process just repeats over and over.

On what may or may not be related issues: a) I use an iMAC (with the MAC version of Office installed) and b) I learned that the other two employees here at the Academy who also have iMAC's got what appears to be the same error messages I was expecting to get when I reviewed the email from this weekend regarding the upcoming migration. I thought it was especially odd that either of them would get an error message since neither of them are testers in the PILOT project. Ironically they seem to be able to get email however I cannot.

I can be reached at my office number, 802.483.2736 until about 1140-1145 this morning. I will be out of the office at a meeting most if not all afternoon. I will be back to the office between 1630-1730 and am here overnight. If we can't connect please text me a message/name/number and I will do my best to step out of the meeting and call you ASAP. It would be greatly appreciated if we can at least get me back online with email as I am pretty much dead in the water to perform my job duties without my computer working correctly. Thank you.

cannot add outlook to iphone. followed both the direction in the email from last week and also went to the link given. Can add account, enter email and password. Does not indicate with blue check marks, and if you click next, is requires username and password. After entering that and clicking next, it now requires the once optional Server information. Cannot go further than that so far.

I may be one of the users with authentication issues. It will sporadically come up with a password box, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Question: does this still have integrated logins? Or should we be entering credentials each time? Remember by credentials does not always work.

After being migrated to Office 365 last night, when I run the full Outlook (2013) client I get frequent prompts for my credentials. I have turned off Cached Mode and even went so far as to delete my email profile and re-create it. But the prompts keep coming. I can cancel and it will allow me limited functionality in Outlook, but it's very slow to respond and the prompts will come back if I try to open a different folder or calendar. I can use the browser-based version without problems, but would like the full Outlook to be functional again.

had a favorite that collected all unread mail from inbox and all subfolders of inbox, would love to have that functionality in O365, I have a long list of system generated email to check multiple times a day, not having this functionality is time consuming.

Are we expected to only use cloud from here on out? I tried to start up Outlook via the icon on my desktop and a pop up appeared to enter my credentials and it would not accept my user name/password. And I was unable to open up outloook that way. I was able to log into the cloud successfully.

Tim H helped me a moment ago when he called me back. I was having issues - and STILL am - getting to my Outlook. He directed me to Outlook using outlook.office365.com. After I was able to open it this way and was in the process of checking emails (on the cloud Outlook) when all of a sudden everything was gone. I don't have any emails on the cloud - none of my files show at all. Help. I should have stayed at home today.

Two of my computers went well, but the third had issues where I ended up having to delete the Outlook Profile and re-add it. It may have been because on this computer my email had and additional shared mailbox open. It seemed to be asking for my password over and over again until I finally gave up and started fresh.

Experiencing long lag times when sending and receiving from my desktop client. I am often receiving messages 2-3 minutes earlier on my phone. Before today it was the other way around. Additionally, when I send messages they are randomly sitting for 1 - 15 minutes in the Outbox. Not all that conducive to "real-time" communication. Thanks.

My consolidated feedback for the day:

--> I had to upgrade 2 of 5 pilot users from 2010 to 2013 this morning because their Outlook would not open at all - would lock up immediately

--> With both my iPad and iPhone, I had to delete and recreate my OUTLOOK accounts (not the built-in Mail app); was pretty easy but is good to know for communicating expectations to end users

--> Once migrated, you definitely are NOT able to access Public Folders - they do not show up at all

--> I continue to be prompted repeatedly (though not as frequently as this morning) to login; this is even after doing a repair on my Office install, closing out of shared mailboxes, removing all extra calendars other than my own; deleting and recreating my Outlook profile, and restarting the computer a dozen times

--> Other pilot users here (as well as NON-Pilot users) are being prompted repeatedly to log in; pilot users with shared mailboxes have to use their domain (non-Vermont.gov) accounts to access; they were not able to access from new OWA

Is there a work-around for shared mailboxes? Our jud.helpdesk account is inaccessible to me.

After logging into my O365 Outlook account I deleted my exchange account on my iPhone to reset it as provided within the instructions sent via email recently. Tim had to give me a temp password so that MS would recognize me and allow me to connect to Outlook as it wasn't recognizing my regular login credentials. That is an issue I believe you are already aware of.

Interestingly the only way to get my email on my iPhone is to use my normal password pointing to the new server address. That seems odd to me. If MS is having problems syncing passwords at the moment shouldn't it only accept my "temp" password for both rather than the temp on one and regular on the other?

Needless to say it makes it very confusing that I have to use my normal login credentials to login to my computer, the "temp" password to login to O365 email, and my regular password to login to the same email account via my iPhone.

I would agree with others who have indicated that the inability to see shared calendars is making work flow very difficult. Moreno than being able to see what another staff members availability is - I oversee the use of several shared calendars related to scheduling use of the facility, use of vehicles, etc. In addition to adding/editing/deleting reservations for facility use I also need access to this information in order to put together the meal projections for the upcoming week so the Chef can plan accordingly with food prep/orders, etc.

I noticed that when I logged into my O365 Outlook account the email signature that it pulled over was "a bit dated" to say the least. The one that it pulled over was from 4.5 - 5 years ago. I will go back in and update it shortly but thought you might want to explore this.

I'm not sure if this is related to being a tester for O365 or something that should go to LANDesk. I'll toss it your way first and you can redirect me if needed.

For the past couple of weeks I have noticed that when using my Citrix credentials to remote in, there has been a sudden divergence between the accuracy of the files and email. Until recently anything I did on either end resulted in the same information being available regardless of whether I accessed files/email from the office or remotely. However, over the past couple of weeks files I create/edit and/or changes I make to Outlook folders on either end do not show up when accessing from the other option. Is this connected to the changes being made to migrate accounts or something completely unrelated?

This is a Outlook migration question. Following the migration my Outlook looks absolutely the same. When I open Outlook via my shortcut icon from the office PC the log in still identifies Outlook 2010. However, when I access via webmail from home, Outlook clearly identifies as being Outlook 365 and the format is indeed updated and the functionality/navigation is very different. Do I need to delete the current shortcut icon on the office PC and redirect? If so, for what site/address should I be searching? Thanks

Outlook 2010 desktop client opens, but after a time, I am prompted repeatedly to enter my credentials in the Windows Security Window. After doing so several times and having the window appear again, I choose to cancel and again have the window appear several times until it finally goes away after I choose cancel.

After that the desktop client appears to work properly. However, I do not want to proceed with using it until I receive and OK from the Office365 team that I should do so.

I do have access to Outlook through the portal (using normal VSMA login) and will use that until I receive an update from the team.

FYI yesterday after I received a call to confirm that my VSMS login was working for both the portal and the desktop client, the repeated prompts from the desktop client started to appear, but I did not report it at that time.

I still cannot get into my Outlook ([email protected]) where I have access and permissions for two other mailboxes, [email protected] AND [email protected] do not have access to those on the cloud, only my own emails.

My cloud calendar is terrible - I schedule meetings regularly in 3 conference rooms here in Labor and I cannot see the schedules of the rooms. I was able to add the 3 rooms but I can't see them anywhere on the calendar.

I am administrative assistant to our general counsel, Dirk Anderson, and have permissions to see his calendar which only says "busy."

Thank you, for the shared email instructions. It appears that I do not have those options. I cannnot find the "File" menu option like you in Outlook 2010. In O365, how do we customize a follow up flag on an email to enter a specific date, time and reminder? Attached is an image of the equivalent of what I'm looking for which is offered in MS Outlook 2010. LP

Coleen Krauss is having an issue where she in the lower right of her outlook screen where it is supposed to say "Connected" or "Online with: Microsoft Exchange", it instead says "Need Password".

When she clicks on the "Need Password" message, it reverts over to what it should say and then she receives email and mail that is in her Outbox is finally sent.

1. I was under the impression that Office 2016 was available today. I went and did the client install and got Office 2013.2. I was using Office 2010, and was never asked for my password. Now I am getting asked for it every 10 mins or so. I can hit cancel and everything works fine from what I can see, but it is super annoying.

Not sure if I am missing something on the settings for either my phone or within Outlook for O365 - but I can no longer delete messages from my phone, only from O365. I've checked both locations settings and don't see an option to set it with the ability to allow this. Am I missing something or is this an issue that needs to be resolved. Given the amount of time I am out of the office combined with the amount of email I receive it would be very helpful to have this option again.

I recognize that the first time you send an email from a new account it is not uncommon to have to either manually type in the address or choose it from a master list. However, is there something I have missed that allows the settings to autofill addresses previously used?

When searching the statewide list it is defaulting to the old format (@state.vt.us) rather than the @vermont.gov option. In one case (Ken Hawkins) it also lists his name once in the master list - but includes both his old and new email address format. At least on my end regardless of which option you choose it defaults to the old format. For the moment that works because you are forwarding this email to his new address. Once that is removed it won't.

The only list I can find for sending a message to all staff here at the academy is the old [email protected] Prior to switching to O365 I was able to use the new version, i.e. [email protected] When I search the master list it no longer appears.

Lastly, I am seeing a number of employees populate (to include former staff here) that are no longer employed by the state.

Or am I simply completely missing setting choices for these issues somewhere in the options menus?

I have noticed that if I am typing a reply to a message in the reading pane and a new message comes in; the focus changes and my keyboard strokes are no longer recording into the reply.

I see you pushed Office 2016 to my computer last night. I am now having issue with outlook running very sluggishly. I created an outlook rule to move all Pilot 365 notifications to a new folder and it has my outlook locked up trying to run this rule for 23 minutes with 17 estimated left before completion. I am guessing this has something to do with Outlook having to reach into the "cloud" for the first time with O-2016 to apply this rule. If this is truly the case - it should be listed as an expectation when the roll out is done statewide.

Unable to get online with the new Outlook 2016. The "Windows Security Microscoft Outlook Connecting to [email protected]" comes up. I have tried entering my username & password and even tried adding "AHS\" at the beginning to see if that would make a difference. I am able to see all of the folders I created in the cloud. I am able to access email throught the cloud. I now however, can see the "File menu" for adding shared accounts; which I cannot see in the cloud.

Connection findings from DLC domain:

Outlook 2010 works fine after adding *.office365.com to site to zone assignment list.

Outlook 2013 has popup box for password at random intervals. Clicking cancel on the password box, then click "need password" reconnects back to exchange.

Outlook 2016 will not connect at all. Fails at first startup configure wizard.

Using click to run distribution tool to install office works fine.

DFR is not currently in your network so we use RPC over HTTP to connect. Can someone provide me with the settings I need to put into a profile to make that happen? last week I was able to open the Tax TIS calandar today I am not able to... it seaches then asks for me to enter my password, I add it and the same log in comes back over and over again.what changed?

Couple of questions. Let me know if you prefer these to be entered one question at a time.

1. My Outlook 2010 sticky "Notes" have all landed in my O365 Email in a "HR" email folder I have. Can't seem to move "Notes" out of the HR folder to a better location. How are email folder and sub-folder locations moved in O365? Is there a sticky "notes" view setting somewhere that allows for the sticky note look vs just a line entry as it's been translated to in O365? Or is notes not a feature meant to be used in O365?

2. Maybe this was covered and I misunderstood, but In Outlook 2010 I'm now unable to view details in shared calendars. I was able to at first but not entries on calendars shared with me in both 2010 and O365 are showing up only as free/busy. I expected this for O365, but not in Outlook 2010. Is this to be expected during the pilot and how/when will details of shared calendars be accessible again. Thanks!

Using Outlook, the system continually asks for my credentials. Opening or moving an items takes anywhere from 5 seconds to 5 minutes. And has frozen up at least 4 times since 10am, today. And just now I lost connectivity to my shared folders.

Using OWA, I can only access my primary email... and cannot access any of my shared accounts.

Basically I am at a complete stand-still and unable to complete any work.

E-mail is extremely slow, for example, I see the previous e-mail message in my inbox completely before seeing the new one which I clicked on.

Also my out of office is shut off yet out of office e-mails are still being sent out.

Karen: I'm still getting a prompt pop up asking for credentials VERY regularly when I have Outlook open which is all the time. I put in my p/w etc., and after the 2nd or 3rd time I hit cancel. Maureen said I needed to remind you of that. Sorry - I should have when we had our session.

At 5:55pm today (9/23/2015) I attempted to access my calendar via Outlook in Office365/2016. Immediately after clicking the calendar icon (lower left) the spinning progress circle appeared and shortly thereafter the Outlook windows status changed to (Not Responding). After several minutes I killed Outlook via Task Manager.

Restarted Outlook and tried again. After several minutes of (Not Responding) I resorted to Task Manger again.

Restarted Outlook and tried again. Same result.

Restarted Outlook and tried again - as I type this message, after perhaps five minutes of waiting on Outlook, the calendar page has just appeared.

The above may represent the first time I attempted to access my calendar from Outlook in Office 365/2016. After the calendar finally appeared (above) I closed Outlook, restarted Outlook, and clicked the calendar icon once again. This time the calendar appeared almost immediately. If this was my first calendar access, then I'm not sure if the above behavior represents some degree of first time synchronization or some more general instability. If it were simply a first time synchronization issue it wouldn't seem that Outlook in general should have gone completely unresponsive.

This is what I get on a regular basis...when in outlook

Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Outlook cannot access the specified folder location. Network problems are preventing connection to Microsoft Exchange.

Upon starting Outlook 2016 this morning, there was a 3 min 30 sec delay before synchronization was accomplished and new email was displayed. During this time there was no indication of synchronization in progress and the footer of the Outlook window displayed, "This folder is up to date" and "Connected to: Microsoft Exchange".

Also, for what it's worth, during this wait period, the boxed scroll area in the ribbon toolbar where the Quick Steps are normally displayed remained blank - see attached screen shot.

Now I have no icons for Outlook/Word/Excel and when I go into my control panel to try and double click on Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016) I get an error message Window Shell Common DII has stopped working. Maybe I shouldn't have done this: I went to all programs and clicked on the One Drive for Business. When prompted I "sync" my files. All my files and network connections are now included on One Drive. Should I have done this? Thanks

I don't have access to install the new office software.. If I go into office 365 from the portal I only show the online apps not the insalls too..

I have noticed that Unread does not work the same as the desktop version. The desktop version keeps holds all unread email, where the web version only shows those that are not moved by a rule even though they are still unread in the other folder.

I went to install the 2016 version of office however the version available to install is 32 bit. I am running 64 bit, how do I acquire the 64 bit version? There is no advance option.

I was migrated to MS 2013 and Outlooks requests my credentials every few minutes even after I have selected the " remember my credentials" box and clicked submit. When my mail stops syncing I get a message at the bottom of the window saying "need password". ( see screen capture)

See attached. The outlook reminders displayed are for Jason Williams. I shouldn't be seeing these, and he is the only person thus far I have identified any issues with regarding shared calendars. I also confirmed he has deleted all of these between last night or late last week.

Saved Credentials still not saving. I thought the issue was resolved but it has come back to haunt me since last Thursday. Every few minutes when mail tries to send/recieve it fails and prompts for password. I can enter the password it will sync. Checking the "save password" box does nothing.

I've looked at my saved credentials and tried various fixes but nothing has been able to stick.

My team opens secured emails from insurance carriers several times a day. The non-SOV senders are also using MS 365, and as a result, I have a lot of my team attempting to log into a MS account, or create one, so that they do not have to use the "One-time Passcode". Can you advise me what to tell them? They are getting some odd messages about account lockout (but they are attempting to access a 365 account, not Citrix).

I know that as testers we can't explore the possibilities and/or potential problems with shared calendars, etc. However, any thought to assigning groups of 3, 5, 10 pilot users to share their calendars, etc. during this process so we could help you explore this migration at another level? Just a thought.

Just a quick follow-up to a message from yesterday about being connected to another staff members calendar reminders that I can't clear, nor should I be seeing them. Of all the shared calendars his is the only one I have been getting thus far to the best of my knowledge. Jason Williams is the name of the person who owns the shared calendar.

I figured out how to use my iMAC to get a screen shot of just the selection so it should be attached now.

Quarantined Emails not releasing. I Released To In-box the 3 IRS emails in this attachment. I cant find them anywhere. I have since added the address to Safe Senders List but I suspect the Release to Inbox still isn't working right.

1. " Outlook - Options-Permissions - set permissions on this item - " Is the option to block receivers from "Do Not Reply to All" going to be added, so when you send to a group questions responses are directed to one person and not the entire group? If of course that is what the person wants. It was mentioned during the roll out meeting. I see that the "Do Not Forward" is there, which is helpful.

2. Also, I know it was mentioned in yesterdays call about the calendars. However, my not being able to see the calendars is having an impact on others who can. On whether or not they are receiving notifications, and those sorts of things. Please let me know if you need further information about this and I will get it.

Except for the two items above, I have been using this both at work and at home and things seem to be going fairly smoothly. My personly computer does not have Word or Excel, but Libra. Ran into some issues in the beginning; but was able to work through them. Now it work great, so far.

Hi,I'm having problems with installing the 2016 version of Office. I tried uninstalling the 2013 64 bit version however it appears the I have other Microsoft office products that are at 64 bit like Project and Visual Studio maybe. How do I figure this out without having to uninstall everything and then reinstall. And where would I then find the other products are 32 bit.

Now I don't have office products on my computer and can not install the 64 or 32 bit version.

My e-mail does not send and receive e-mail properly I keep getting error messages. So I manually select to send and receive and I get the pop up box to enter my password even though I have checked the box to save it. So I enter my password again and the pop up box keeps showing up and I also get this error message. I do eventually get my latest e-mails but this really isn't working properly.

Hey there, I was wondering if we are okay to dl the Outlook app to our personal phones for state inbox yet? I have the app already on my state-issued phone (LOVE IT) and would really like to have the work email available on my personal phone. Basically I feel pretty important carrying around two phones all the time but it does wear on the back pocket of my jeans. :)

Me again. Our division has a metric ton of shared inboxes. All shared across multiple user teams (mostly AHS-DVHA and AHS-DCF). Do you think it would be prudent to start working with them to set up a rules for forwarding, just in case the access to shared inboxes is still wonky? My users depend pretty heavily on the shared inboxes for crucial information exchange. Thank you!

I opened Skype for Business and it asked for user ID and password. I have no idea what the password is. Also don't have a camera on my monitor and don't use a laptop. I will try to use a department laptop, but I need a user ID and password. Will ask my IT folks to follow up on that.

My OneDrive asked me to sign in this morning so I entered my credentials. The login box disappeared and now my widget (small lower right hand corner icon- see attached file) has an exclamation point over it and keeps popping up "We need your credentials to sync some libraries" but when I click it to enter my credentials nothing opens so my libraries aren't syncing.

I'm currently running 2016 edition of Office. Everything has been working smoothly so far (no pop-ups for logins). I have encountered this issues though.

I'm currently downloading 1.1GB file at pretty slow rate. Now my Outlook is now VERY slow to respond. I can click on a email and it will take a while (10 - 15 seconds) for to show the email. Scrolling through emails is very jumpy and sporadic.

I'm not sure if you have seen this yet.

LanDesk did open for me this morning but has since kicked me out and will not let me log in. Also Outlook continues to prompt for my credentials and my ability to use it sporadic.

This morning 10/1/2015 my PC is returning errors on security updates for Microsoft office 2013 32 bit edition. Yesterday is when I uninstall my 64 bit version and installed 32 bit Microsoft products and then upgraded to 2016 32 bit versions of software that is apart of office 365. I do have other Microsoft products like visio and project that were reinstalled at 32 bit.

I have been out sick and working via CITRIX so question and problems are late. I don't have Skype or IM access or maybe I just don't know where to find it. Using 2010 on my work PC

One of the questions in the survey yesterday was if we could open a shared mailbox, so I attempted to do so. Outlook froze for ten minutes so I ended the process tree and restarted. My profile was missing; I typed it in but Outlook just hangs on the step "Searching for [email protected] settings". I ended filing a request for support, ticket number 18820. I might add that the request for password in Outlook still pops up, even though it's not finding my profile. Screenshot attached.

New PC installed today. Office 2016 downloaded onto new PC. However, Outlook will initially launch without problem but then pop-up asking for credentials appears repeated despite entering current password. Outlook will then not update with current messages. I created a meeting invite earlier today, inviting one SOV employee and two outside people. The first time I hit the "Send" button, I received a network message "Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients" and it listed the three people. So, I resent. One of the people, Ann Bishop (SOV employee) accepted the meeting, and I received an email confirmation. But when I look in Meeting>Tracking, Ann shows as "None", even though I have the email indicating that she did "accept".

Myself and another pilot users here (Matt Roy) have installed the Office 2016 products including Skype for Business. However, when we try to login to Skype for Business and the login fails. I am attaching a screen shot of the error.

I was put on the test group 'accidentally' - I wasn't supposed to be, so that was the 1st issue. 2nd issue is when the change over happened, I lost over 3,000 emails that had been put into the archive/vault. David Fortin worked to try to figure out what happened, but none could be recovered, all were lost. 3rd issue happened yesterday upon trying to do a search. I was in my sent items, went up to the search box, entered in a name and tons of emails came up - from my in box, sent items, deleted items. Upon trying any folder to search from, it ends up searching all instead of one I'm currently in, even though that shows current as well.

We are trying to get Office 2016 to install on our VDI test pools so we can test what a user would be doing. So far we have been unsuccessful. If someone can work with Carolyn Keyes 828-0266 to get this installed after 12:30

Is it time to start working on my shared mailboxes again? The issues that I am experiencing will need to worked out when libraries staff are migrated. These shared mailboxes are important to our workflow.

Shared mailboxes (lib- circ and lib - contact) still cannot be accessed--either from the mailboxes displayed in the navigation pane or after being added through account settings.

The explanation currently entered for the shared mailbox question (#7) in survey monkey says:My old shared mailboxes appear in navigation pane. When I try to open lib - contact I see the response, "Cannot display the folder." When I try to open lib - circa message listing window displays but there are no messages, even though I know that at least one is in the mailbox (other users are seeing it).

Though the mailboxes are listed in the navigation pane, they are not listed in the advanced account settings. I can add both of the accounts in the account settings, but I just end up with duplicates of the existing mailboxes that I cannot open.

I just realized that when I put appointments on my calendar on my computer all is well, but if I enter an appointment on my phone it is not showing up on my computer. I have now tried it a couple of times and I can't get it to show up.

I created a document in word on my PC and then tried to "save as" into OneDrive and it won't let me do that. It asks me to sign in, so I try using my email address - and it comes back and says This type of account doesn't work with this particular service....

Is this ability not turned on? Am I doing something wrong?

E-mail search feature is working correctly and I am no longer receiving the Items indexed warning.

Personal Folders seem to be also working correctly now.

E-mail functions were extremely slow today - I would have to hit delete three times before the e-mail message would delete. Going from one e-mail to the next is also very slow, but seems better now. Hopefully with the new upgrade to 2016 things will improve.

Betty Wheeler keeps getting the Windows Security prompt to enter her user credentials, however since yesterday afternoon for some reason, when the box pops up it says it's trying to connect to [email protected]

Betty had access to Karen's calendar previously, and yesterday she removed it, as we we were thinking this was the reason she was getting her own prompt (because Karen is one of the trial accounts for Office 365), so we thought removing Karen's calendar would make her own prompt stop, but now instead it's prompting that its trying to connect to Karen. Betty also removed Drew Emory's calendar, but has not received any credential requests trying to link back to Drew's account.

O365 pilotNeed help understanding how to navigating in O365 to get to the placed I would have in Outlook 2010. Trying to change the date I want a flagged item to come up but don't see an option to edit the flag date; trying to save an email into a computer folder but don't see that as an option. I loaded Office 2016 on an image. In the control Panel, the Mail (Microsoft Outlook 2016) (32-bit) control does not work. the error is: The operating system is not presently configured to run this application. I will try to re-install again. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

I get constant authentication requests from Outlook 2013. This is an annoyance and it also delays the receipt of real-time emails as Outlook is waiting to authenticate with the Exchange server before any new mail is downloaded.

Hi, I wanted to let you know that opening another user's calendar causes the "enter password" glitch. As soon as I open the user (or room resource) the box pops up. It continually asks for my account password.

However, when I closed out of the box instead of entering my password, I noticed I was getting a "Need Password" on the lower right, next to the "Folder is up to date" in Outlook's status bar. If I click on that, the box does not pop up asking me for the password, it goes back to the "Connected to: Microsoft Exchange" message.

Outlook stopped working a number of times today, not receiving any new emails. If I go to the portal I could see the email.

Just a thought... I discovered (the hard way) after I had replaced the apps on my iPhone with the O365 apps - that unless you have transferred your contact list (as vCards) into the cloud, you have NO contacts. Finding out that was the case when I needed to reach someone over the weekend for work added an additional challenge. It might be worth providing links and/or instructions to users on how to do this. I suspect there will be a bunch of folks in the same boat once this gets rolled out en masse. FYI

Noticing syncing issues with online instance and desktop instance. For example I will have deleted an email from my Desktop however it still shows up in the online notice. When I selected it, it can not be found. Also created a Team calendar Online and it does not show up on the desktop. Is this a caching issue maybe?

Outook 2013: I am constantly being prompted to be authenticated with the Exchange server. Each time I enter my credentials the prompt reappears. I now simply click cancel to make it go away and have to refresh my inbox to download any new mail when it is in "Need Password" mode. I click on it to force a connection and new mail downloads. I am running both the OWA and Outlook 2013 client so that I can be notified with new mail. Very annoying..

Credentialling issue seems to be more prevalent...I'm prompted for my credentials constantly today...every time I try to type an email , open an email. Do we have any idea when this issue will be resolved?

I have add some issues with one of my copiers sending garbage text yesterday when scanning to email. I'm not sure it has anything to do with O365 or not. My question is our copiers are setup to use relay.state.vt.us to send emails out to the users. Has the relay option been tested with Office 0365?

We have Ricoh copiers here and starting yesterday they randomly started sending attached scans as MIME text instead of an attachment. Our Ricoh guy thinks it might be because of Office 365. the copiers use the relay.state.vt.us address to send.

While presenting in a Skype for Business meeting just now, I was unable to end the meeting. All other controls were working, but neither the End Meeting option or just X-ing out of the application would shut down the meeting.

I had to use Task Manager to kill The Skype for Business application to shut down the meeting--just killing the meeting itself in Task Manager would not work

I just discovered when looking for an email message from 3-4 years ago that there was only one message in the folder. Further checking shows that a huge percentage of my older emails kept are no longer accessible across multiple folders. Have I missed a setting my end somewhere?

Skype for Business meeting locks up participant browsers--plugin stops responding.. Once the browser is locked up it is difficult to kill and or start over with another browser. It occurred when the attendee was given presentation control and was trying to upload an image.

When attendee tried to restart her machine it was hung-up for a very long time.

I would suggest some testing to see what kind of system resources get used while running a meeting and participating in one if presentation control is given to you.

I have experienced slow upload of my emails first thing in the AM - not the 15 minutes I heard on this mornings call, but slower than before migration.From what I have been able to test things seem to be working ok, but the calls all seem to be WAY over my head in understanding exactly what experiences people are having difficulty with so I'm nervous that I'm not testing what I should be.I am still unable to utilize PSB's "outage" calendar which is essential for the PSB. When the complete office is migrated will that issue disappear?

I participated in today's (Oct. 15) conference call.I was only upgraded to 2013 Office.I am still unable to read the shared calendar for the 3 conference rooms I routinely schedule here at Labor. They are blocked off as busy but I can't read them and I do have permissions for them.

Also, I'm admin. asst. to our general counsel whose calendar I need to be able to read only. My IT person, Maureen, tried to get back my access to read it and the only way she could was to give me complete access to his mailbox also. So now I get all his reminders as well as pop-ups of his recent emails that I don't need to see. I only need access to read his calendar. So this is a big problem.

Lastly, I think, I wrote on the survey yesterday that I couldn't get access to One-Note but today I solved the problem, so now I have access to it.

I was not able to test Skype for Business because I don't have access to a camera. I may be able to use my phone but haven't had to time to try it. A co-worker had surgery and I am doing her work as well as another persons so my work load tripled recently.

When using the desktop MS word, I very frequently get the "Not Responding" spinning wheel. It will spin for 5, 10 to 15 seconds before I can then start working the document again. Not sure if this is O365 related but you wanted to know issues.

Hi, I don't seem to have a high enough office 365 license. -I'm unable to edit information on phones and tablets.- I can't install any office 2013 or office 2016 programs on my computer-I don't have access to Skype. So I'm unable to test two of the three items we are suppose to be testing.

When saving to Onedrive, Sometimes it will save and then Sync up to Onedrive correctly giving you a green check on the file. Other times it will sit there with a Sync icon over the file and the OneDrive for Business saying that it needs to sync a file, but will never sync. you have to cut the file out of that location and save it somewhere else. Make sure that OneDrive for Business syncs and then past the file back and then it will sync.

I am attempting to set up a meeting using Skype for Business. Are we restricted to only pilot users within our tenant? I attempted to add a Skype user, outside, to my contacts and they do not receive a contact request or an invite.

This isn't a show stopper but steers me toward our old way using WebEx. Will this change? Is it a case of assuming Skype and Skype for business are compatible?

The following is only indirectly related to Office 365 but I thought I’d pass it on anyway…

This week we noticed that one of our non pilot domain users’ AD account would periodically lock. In our case we have the accounts set to lock after five failed logins within, I believe, a 10 minute period. Typically this would manifest itself by the user, once logged on, at some later point running an application that involved pass through authentication to an SQL Server and being rejected. The domain controller security log would show periodic flurries of event id 4771 entries which are indicative of attempted logins with an incorrect password. Further testing showed that a system left on overnight would not log any 4771 events. Only when the user logged into Outlook the following morning did the 4771 events begin. Further rummaging around on the web led to the article in the link below which indicates that a user using the same login UPN, but different passwords, in a scenario such as ours, will indeed generate failed log on event entries in the local domain controller.

As soon as we had the user change her email password to match her local domain password the security log entries ceased. Fortunately we only had three users who were using different passwords for domain login and exchange login so correcting the problem was fairly easy.

Anyhow, I’m not sure if anyone else with a foreign domain is configured as we are, but if they run into this issue, this may the cause. Once we are fully migrated to O365 and using fully synchronized authentication this should all be of no further concern.

We need to set a policy on this. We do have a Federated trust with Microsoft.
