Measures for WFD Cycle 1 : file posted on EA website 31 Mar 10. These spreadsheets are not part of the river basin management plan but do provide supporting information. They contain the measures presented in the river basin plans, however, readers must refer to Annex C and the main river basin management plan document for full details and context. This spreadsheet shows the tables of actions (the programmes of measures) that are proposed for each sector across England and Wales, and have been published in the Annex Cs of the first river basin management plans (RBMPs). Actions are the on-the-ground activities that will be implemented to manage the pressures on the water environment and achieve the objectives of this plan. Each river basin district has a separate tab. For the purposes of the RBMPs, 'sector' refers to the sector that may be causing the pressure or that is being affected by an action. 'Being affected' may mean that the sector is the one taking action or that the sector's activities are affected by an action implemented by others. Some actions will be recorded against more than one sector, as one sector may be implementing action that requires another to take action in response. The spreadsheet sets out the list of actions established at the outset of this plan period. It is expected that further measures will be identified during the implementation period for this plan. The RBMPs include many investigations that will help identify future actions where it has not yet been possible to define these (more detail can be found within the RBMP annex E's). We also encourage sectors to put forward other measures so that these can be considered during the period of this plan. Further information including main documents and technical annexes can be found at: http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/wfd
