Arsenal Ladies CupArsenal Ladies have one of the best women’s and girl’s soccer programs in the world. In 2007 they achieved an unprecedented quadruple by lifting the League, FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA trophies. Arsenal Ladies are based at Arsenal FC’s prestigious training ground along with the Men’s team and run one of the world’s leading Academy programs for young girls.

XL Travel and Arsenal Ladies will be opening their facilities to teams from around the globe. The Arsenal Ladies Cup is set to become the world’s largest exclusively girls tournament.

Based around the beautiful and exciting City of London, all teams participating in the tournament will have use of exceptional public and private transport for the tournament.

Games will be played on high quality fields with excellent referees and tournament staff. Tour guides will be available for each team upon request.

Easter, exclusively maleThe tournament is sanctioned by the Italian Soccer Federation. It is held each Easter and attracts teams from all parts of the world. Games are played on top quality astroturf and natural grass fields.The tournament is located in Como, one of the most VIP, beautiful and historical cities in Italy and a soccer hotbed, close to Milan. Whilst in the area, take the opportunity to visit the cathedral of Italian soccer, San Siro Stadium of AC Milan and Inter FC.

early JulyOn the banks of the Bay of Biscay and surrounded by green mountains, San Sebastian is a delightful city that provides a feast for the senses. The city, home to 180,000 people and the cultural and tourist capital of the Basque Country, works its seductive charm on the tournament visitors and caters for all tastes. The Cup caters to both male and female teams.

mid-JulyThroughout the years, 730,000 youths from 124 different countries have taken part in the Gothia Cup. Over 1,500 teams participate yearly. The tournament caters to all levels of both boys’ and girls’ teams.Gothenburg is a city with half a million inhabitants. Everyone knows and cares about the Gothia Cup and locals are renowned for showing hospitality and being friendly to visitors. It is a fantastic tournament for any team interested in discovering more of the world and meeting people from across the globe.

late JulyOver the years, more than 100 nations have sent teams to the Dana Cup tournament. They come to play soccer but also because of the fantastic international atmosphere.Dana Cup offers challenges in sport and social experiences to young people from all around the world, regardless of borders, skin colour, politics and reglion and all within a safe environment. More than 20,000 participants gather for the tournament in Hjorring, a town which has a usual population of 25,000.

late July/early AugustThis is the largest international youth tournament in the world, commencing in week 31 each year.Oslo plays host to this tournament, with one huge central venue at Ekeberg catering for most of the games. This creates a unified tournament carnival atmosphere. Oslo itself is a welcoming and diverse city, with a plethora of culture and history. It is also a short distance from the fantastic beaches and clean water of the famous Fjords.

La Liga is currently ranked as the strongest league in world soccer, with teams such as Valencia, Barcelona, and Deportivo regularly featuring in the latter stages of the Champions League. The Brazilians are the true masters of the modern game. They boast 5 World Cups, more than any other nation, and have produced prestigious talents over the generations, from Pelé through to Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Kaka. The Brazilian ladies’ game is also a force to be reckoned with, with the likes of Marta impressing on the World stage.

Denmark, Copenhagen:Another wonderful tournament in Scandinavia, the Dana Cup, is the main draw for teams to this wonderful city. You can combine the Gothia Cup to make an extended trip in two beautiful countries

Sweden, Gothenburg:Home to the World renowned Gothia Cup. Previous XL Travel teams have been impressed by the quality of this tournament, particularly the organization, fields and opposition, and the dedication of their staff. A truly excellent event. Australia, Sydney:Head down under to see how the ‘Ozzies’ do it. Australia has a strong national team, fuelled by a healthy soccer infrastructure from the youth level through to professional teams. There may be no language barrier, but the rest of their culture, from the marsupials (think Kangaroo, Koala, etc) to the native aboriginal traditions, will be an amazing experience for all.

Germany & The Netherlands:Germany boasts the highest average attendance for its professional league, with 30,000+ packing in to watch the Bundesliga each week. The Netherlands has some of the strongest programs for both the boys and girls game in the World. Combine all of this with a wealth of history and you have a fantastic soccer destination.

Norway, Oslo:Incredibly friendly and welcoming, Oslo has the feel of a friendly small city, whilst it retains grandeur with its Royal buildings and beautiful waterfront on the Fjords. This is a great destination for both boys and girls teams looking for something slightly different from the norm, whether you prefer tailored games or to participate in the huge Norway Cup. South Africa, Johannesburg & Cape Town:Home to the World Cup 2010. There is no denying the passion of soccer throughout Africa, and with the money being invested in soccer, South Africa is a great place to come to experience a completely different culture that shares your passion for the beautiful game.

Free PlacesOne free place is guaranteed per group of 20 paying travelers. This is offered to the coach, with other free places dependent upon numbers.
