I spent several months based out of Austin, TX developing drawings for
a variety of different residential projects on a contract basis. Each home
had a unique style and goal. This period in my career has greatly en-
riched my appreciation for residential projects and furthered my com-
mitment to pursuing architecture as a career. The drawings shown be-
low were created with minimal oversight. During the period when
these were drawn, I was running my own design & drafting business.
The floorplans and elevations were drawn based on references provid-
ed by the client.

Both the home featured here, and the one on the previous page, are
for clients who intend to build in the San Antonio area. Both projects
are still early on in the design phase.
Designed a community greenhouse
made from repurposed shipping con-
tainer shells and ETFE paneling. Green-
house would be available to all residents
of the development.
Construction plans were developed in
CAD.
Model developed in Revit (for
artistic renderings).
Close correspondence and design work
with client. Management of his wants
versus the reality of his budget and the
constraints of construction.

Expanded on concepts from pre-
vious designer on first floor.
Reworked island to increase func-
tionality and galley kitchen feel.
Consulted with carpenters and
custom cabinet makers to deter-
mine design solutions for the
client’s unique cabinetry concept.
Assisted in picking out finishes
throughout the house.
Client had a grand idea that he
cannot afford. He is in the process
of revisiting and downsizing his
floor plan.

Previous designer had neglected to
consider local setback requirements
in designing patio.
A full redesign was performed, but
all essential design features were
able to remain. Reconfiguration was
done in collaboration with client.
Exterior spaces were developed at
multiple levels to appeal to a
modern buyer.
With over two dozen sheets drawn
by myself, this project represents one
of my biggest undertakings.
