1.1 Sound in advertising creatives

Sound in the creatives may be turned on only after the user’s action (click). This limitation does not apply to advertisements displayed in the video player (see pt. 17).

1.2 Actions in flash creatives

1.2.1 Click

1.2.2 Closing

All layered creatives (see pt. ) should feature a visible “close X” element in the top right corner used to close the advertisement. The font of the “close” word must be at least 12px, the dimensions of the X must be at least 14x14px. The entire are of the element must be on a non-transparent background and be clickable.

Extending creatives should perform the following actions after hovering the mouse cursor over the creative:

Additionally, the same actions should be assigned to “extend/fold” buttons of the brandmark (see pt. 6.2), and to hovering over/removing the cursor from a push type creative (see pt. 4).

1.2.4 Video loading

The location of a video clip used in the creative should be communicated in the _root.movie variable. In the event of loading several clips. The names of the variables are: _root.movie1, _root.movie2, _root.movie3

1.2.5 Counting of additional actions

If a flash creative is to count additional actions, it should trigger a javascript function communicated in the statsFn variable.

The correct form of triggering this function for Action Script 3 is as follows:flash.external.ExternalInterface.call(loaderInfo.parameters.statsFn, 'zlicz', ID);Where ID is the unique action identifier.

In the case of counting times (video playback, time of the creative) it is suggested to trigger statsFn every X seconds or playback percentage.

Every need to use such counting methods must be communicated when sending the materials. Preparation of the statistics module for a specific campaign may extend the time of campaign setup by one working day.

1.3 Performance and errors

The creative must not cause errors on the website – incorrect display of the service, as well as the occurrence of error warnings.

The advertisement must not cause more than 20% processor load of a standard computer. It is assumed that a standard computer is one with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz processor with an installed Flash Player version 8.

1.4 External communication

It is prohibited to implement mechanisms which track user interactions.

It is prohibited to implement mechanisms which download additional content from the user’s websites without consulting the WP group.

1.5 False creativesIt is prohibited to practice the use of operating elements in advertisements, whose function arising from the form, caption or convention does not correspond with the communication, or operates in an unusual manner. Especially, it is not admissible for advertisements to incorporate basic system buttons, window minimizing and closing icons, which operate in a manner other than arising from their typical function; it is prohibited to broadcast advertisements in the form of system messages/prompts and warnings.

Buttons incorporated in advertisements must carry out functions which correspond to the prompts represented on them, e.g. buttons which imitate the functions of a form, drop-down list, selection field may not cause redirection to the customer’s website or any other operation which does not correspond to their standard function.

1.6 RichMedia creativesRichMedia creatives may, without the user’s interactions, have a maximum size of 300kB. All additional elements may be streamed only after an action (click).

1.7 Hit counts and display codesHit counts and display codes which are intended for display across the WP Group must not contain synchronous elements. Especially, it is prohibited to use the document.write() instruction.

It is recommended for every campaign to be displayed on WP creatives and third party hit counts to be delivered in the form of pixels

1.8 Other information

The creative in its basic form (.swf file) will be displayed correctly in the Windows operating system in browsers which support the flash plugin.

A scrolling creative is developed exactly like a static creative. The scrolling mechanism is entirely carried out by WP.

A 1px wide frame around the advertisement is required in cases, where the creative features a white or transparent background which is in any way directly combined with the edge of the creative.

For all Flash creatives we require customers to send a backup creative (backup image) in GIF/JPG/PNG format. The frame requirement also applies to backup creatives in the above formats if the white or transparent background of the creative meets the edge of the advertisement.

2 HTML5 CreativesHTML5 Creatives are advertising forms consisting of HTML, style sheets, graphics, video and scripts, displayed in place of standard advertisement forms. The correctly developed HTML5 creatives allow display of the advertisement on any device, including desktop, smartphones and tablets. The HTML5 creatives have various structures. Therefore, customers should deliver them at least 3 working days prior the start of campaign.

2.1 3rd party codesCreatives generated by html5 conversion tools e.g. Google Swiffy, Adobe Edge. The Wirtualna Polska Group do not guarantee their proper display on mobile devices. The Google Swiffy Creatives should be developed according to the specification of flash creatives.

2.1.1 Basic structure

The creatives should to be developed in the way that allows them to load in frames. The margin should be set to 0 so that the creative starts in the upper left corner without offset. Clickable elements should have style "cursor: pointer” set, while the creative made in Google Swiffy: buttonMode = true;

2.1.2 Click operation

All clickable elements should use the global variable "window.clickTag" or function "window.clickFn()"

In case of multiclicks they should include "clickTag" or "window.clickFn()" with incremented index. For the variable clickTag : window.clickTag1 , window.clickTag2 etc.For the function clickFn (): window.clickFn1(), window.clickFn2(), and so on.

The creatives made in Google Swiffy should read click urls by flashVars in the variable "click", the same way as Flash creatives do.

2.1.3 Closing of creativesTo close the fullscreen creative the global function window.closeFn(); should be called.

The creatives made in Google Swiffy should be prepared as flash creatives, i.e. they should read the flashVars variable "zamknij", then after click on the button they should invoke the

following function: flash.external.ExternalInterface.call ( loaderInfo.parameters.zamknij ) ;

2.1.4 Admissible elementsThe HTML5 advertisement may contain:

2.1.5 SSL SupportThe creatives should function correctly for the standard (http) and encrypted (https) protocols. This applies to all elements loaded by the creative – scripts, graphics and videos.

2.2 Copyright codesCodes created without the use of compilers, integrated with the site, which should not override any of the global variables.

2.2.1 Basic structureThe HTML5 creative code should be broken down into 3 blocks

- preload

- standard load

- rich media

The Preload Block receives an assigned advertisement container from the advertisement system in the form of a Jquery object, corresponding to the h variable. The block should define the primary elements of the creative, including an optional light blank panel displayed while loading the rest of the advertisement. The block will be created during page rendering upon reaching the advertisement’s location.

The Standard Block should include the remaining elements, in dimensions specified in the table below and size of up to 150kB.

The standard block will be created asynchronously during page rendering.

The Optional Rich Media Block should contain elements which do not fit within the maximum size of the creative (richmedia and video elements). The block shall be created asynchronously after loading the key web page content.

2.2.2 Admissible elementsThe HTML5 advertisement may contain:

- script (javascript and Jquery)

- style sheets (CSS)

- HTML

- Graphics (jpeg, gif, png)

- Video (mp4, webm)

In the case of JQuery code, the creatives should use JQuery native to the WP Group; the creative should not load its own version of this library. The GWP services support JQuery version 1.8.3, whereby the function is available as WP.$()

HTML should not contain <table> elements. For wideboard and mega mid-text forms a responsive structure is recommended, which guarantees correct display when changing the width of the container to 750px and 300px respectively.

Style sheets should be activated as separate .css files. Each style should have a unique name in order to avoid conflicts with existing styles used by GWP services (it is forbidden to use styles such as .advertisement, .image, .film, .player and with other similarly simple names). It is suggested for every style name to contain a pseudo-random element of a few characters.

All advertisement elements should be placed on layers with a z-index of 10 or less.

Every video clip should have a size of no more than 1.5MB. Audio playback is admissible only after the user’s click/tap.

In case of using external scripts and non-standard fonts, the Wirtualna Polska Group reserves the right to a two working day certification and tests.

2.2.3 SSL SupportThe creatives should function correctly for the standard (http) and encrypted (https) protocols. This applies to all elements loaded by the creative – scripts, graphics and videos.

2.3 Click operationEvery click is opened in a new window/tab and will simultaneously trigger the function hopka(c,e,v).

3 Standard CreativesStandard Formats are graphic advertisement elements placed within the structure of the service.

3.1 Required materials

The customer should provide an .swf file (plus a backup image – see pt. 1.8) or a jpg/gif/png graphic. The creative should meet the general requirements described in the section “General rules regarding advertising creatives”.

4 Extending creativesExtending creatives are layered formats displayed in place of standard creatives and expanded when hovered over with the mouse cursor.

4.1 Required materials

The customer should provide an .swf file (plus a backup image – see pt. 1.8). The creative should meet the general requirements described in the section “General rules regarding advertising creatives”, especially pt. 1.2.3.

5 Push type creativesPush creatives are formats similar to expanding creatives, which after hovering with the cursor push the service’s content downward.

5.1.1 Required materialsThe customer should provide an .swf file (plus a backup image – see pt. 1.8). The creative should meet the general requirements described in the section “General rules regarding advertising creatives”. Especially Push creatives must feature defined actions for expanding creatives (see pt. 1.2.3).

6 Scrolling creativesScrolling creatives are layered formats displayed over the service’s content. After closing, such formats are inserted in place of their corresponding standard formats.

6.1.1 Required materialsThe customer should provide an .swf file (plus a backup image – see pt. 1.8) or a jpg/gif/png graphic. The creative should meet the general requirements described in the section “General rules regarding advertising creatives”.

7 Layered creatives7.1 Toplayer

The Toplayer is a HTML 5 or Flash format animation which uses moving graphical elements in any selected configuration and sound effects. The display time of individual advertisement elements and the display frequency for a single user are determined individually for the purposes of a given campaign.

7.1.1 Required materials

The customer should provide an .swf file (plus a backup image – see pt. 1.8) or a jpg/gif/png graphic or an HTML file plus sufficient files (see pt. 2.0 – HTML creatives). The creative’s dimensions are defined by the customer – whereby the minimum is 400x300px, the maximum is a full-screen creative. The maximum size of the creative is 60kB. The creative should meet the general requirements described in the section “General rules regarding advertising creatives”, especially pt. 1.2.1 and 1.2.2.

Additionally, the closing function described in pt. 1.2.2. should be performed at the end of the animation (no later than 15 seconds for regular creatives, 30 seconds for creatives containing video).

7.2 Brandmark

A Brandmark is a graphical advertising element similar to a pop-up, however not restricted by the window of a standard browser. It can take any shape wihthin the planned area.

7.2.1 Required materialsThe customer should provide an .swf file (plus a backup image – see pt. 1.8) or an HTML file plus sufficient files (see pt. 2.0 – HTML creatives). The dimensions of the creative are 300x300px, maximum size 60kB. Apart from the standard “close X” button the creative should feature buttons used for minimizing (to a 20px bar) and maximizing (to a full 300x300px creative).

The creative should meet the general requirements described in the section “General rules regarding advertising creatives”, especially pt. 1.2.1, 1.2.2. and 1.2.3.

7.3 Floor AdThe Floor Ad is a scalable layered creative, positioned at the bottom edge of the browser window.

7.3.1 Required materialsThe customer should provide an .swf file (plus a backup image – see pt. 1.8). The maximum dimensions of the creative are 970x300px, the maximum size is 60kB. The creative’s structure should allow scaling to the width of the browser window. The creative should meet the general requirements described in the section “General rules regarding advertising creatives”, especially pt. 1.2.2.

7.4 Fly footerA Fly footer is a layered creative with the dimensions of a double-billboard, positioned at the bottom of the browser window, folded beyond the right margin.

7.4.1 Required materialsThe customer should deliver two files: html/swf/jpg/png/gif with double-billboard dimensions (750x200, 900x200, 950x200) and an extend/fold button with dimensions of 30x200. The admissible size is 60kB for a double-billboard and 5kB for the button. If the customer does not provide a button, the default creative of the WP Group will be used.

8 Screening8.1 Standard Screening

Screening is an advertisement consisting of a billboard / double-billboard / wideboard and a watermark.

8.1.1 Required materialsThe customer should provide an .swf file (plus a backup image – see pt. 1.8) or an HTML file (see pt. 2.0), in accordance with the specification of the corresponding advertisement form (billboard, double-billboard, wideboard) and a gif or .jpg file, which will be displayed in the service’s background.

8.2 Thematic Screening

Thematic Screening is screening type advertisement (see pt. 8.1) displayed on selected services from a thematic package. The customer should prepare a creative which meets the general requirements for screening and taking into consideration the width of the service and the heading height (see table below). If the category includes services of a different width, the customer should send in one creative per service.

8.3.1 Required materialsThe customer should provide an .swf file (plus a backup image – see pt. 1.8), in accordance with the specification of the corresponding advertisement form (billboard, double-billboard, wideboard) and .gif or .jpg files wich will be displayed in the service background.

A billboard creative should meet the requirements specified in pt. 3.2. Additionally, the .swf creative should contain triggers of the backgroundN() action, where N is the number of the background to be displayed. For example, for a set including swf + 3 background, in order to display background 2 it is necessary to trigger the action ExternalInterface.call("background2");

Each new watermark creative should have a maximum width of 1366px. It is recommended for the names of the gif/jpg creatives to indicate the background number. Example names are wm1.jpg, wm2.jpg, wm3.jpg.

The total size of any billboard + watermark pairing should not exceed 100 kB.

8.4 SWF ScreeningSwf Screening is an advertisement form consisting of a clickable swf background located under the service’s content.

8.4.1 Required materialsThe customer must provide a specially prepared .swf file. Recommended dimensions of the creative are 1366x1024px, the maximum size is 100 kB. The structure of the creative should allow scaling to the browser window dimensions. The creative should meet the requirements described in the section “General rules regarding advertising creatives”, especially pt. 1.2.2.

9.1 Required materials

The customer must provide an HTML5 creative which presents the advertisement’s visualization. The creative shoul meet the guidelines of pt. 2, whereby the total size of source materials should not exceed 5MB. The total size of the finished advertisement which can be loaded without the user’s interaction cannot exceed 300kB.

Materials should be delivered at least 5 working days before the display date of the advertisement. Additionally, the Wirtualna Polska Group reserves the right to modify the script of the advertisement, if the presented idea is not technically viable.

Please note, that XHTML dedicated for the WP home page must feature a prepared script for both page widths (984px, 1184px).

The advertisement’s maximum active time is 25 seconds.

9.2 Additional hit counts

Any additional action which the customer wants to caint in the creative should trigger the function described in point 1.2.5 of the specification.

9.3 Video Elements

The total size of video elements is 2MB. The video should autostart muted or be activated after the user’s interaction (click). Individual quartiles of the video (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) should trigger actions described in pt. 1.2.5, with an ID equal to 25, 50, 75, 100.

10 Sponsored headline with backgroundThe sponsored headline is a scalable advertisement form displayed in the top part of services (above the menu and service heading). The format may be displayed together with a background. The background is an advertisement form visible under the service’s heading. Note: contrary to the sponsored heading, the background does not scale. When preparing the creative it is recommended to leave an empty space in the middle in the width of the service, which should make it easier to maintain the size limit.

10.1.1 Required materials – Sponsored heading

11 Additional creatives for the WP main page11.1 General guidelinesEvery creative and creative count intended for display on the WP main page should adhere to the general rules regarding advertisement display – especially point 1.7, which describes the limitations in script functioning.

11.2 Screening

Screening is an advertisement consisting of a Billboard / Double-Billboard / Wideboard and Watermark.

creatives must be sent as one complete set of materials used in the campaign (creative, URL, counting codes);

the creatives must not exceed the borderline values applicable to specific advertising forms (size, height, width) provided in the table in pt. I;

the creative must not be displayed from display scripts; conditionally we accept the possibility of hosting creatives on external servers (not

belonging to GWP), after consent from the Traffic Department on a case by case basis;

the creatives must not contain operating elements, whose function arising from form, sign or convention does not correspond to their content or operates in a non-typical manner;

GWP reserves the right to refuse a creative due to its perception by users, for technical or safety reasons;

data during the campaign cannot be used for the purpose of further identification of users by other publishers (including re-targeting).

13.4 Login box – interactiveThe “Interactive E-mail Login” advertisement consists of one element (selected by the customer) placed under the page’s content – e-mail account login box. The clickable area constitutes the entirety of the creative.

The Commercial Break is an advertisement which is displayed on a dedicated sub-page. After a specified time or after clicking a corresponding link the user is redirected to the appropriate page of the WP group’s service.

14.1.1 Required materialsThe customer should provide an swf file (plus a backup image – see pt. 1.8) or a jpg/gif/png graphic with the dimensions of 750x400px and maximum size of 60kB. The creative should meet the general requirements described in the section “General rules regarding advertising creatives”.

14.2 Video Commercial Break

The Video Commercial Break is a commercial break containing additional video material.

15 GalleryboardThe Galleryboard is a non-standard format with interactive content, whose basis is a banner with the dimensions of 940x100 extended to 940x415.

15.2 Folded formA flash creative on the basis of a 940x100px expanding form which expands to a height of 415px, size up to 70kB or a static graphical file of a 940x100px.The clicktag variable in the creative enables the system to trigger redirection to the target website. To set a clicktag it is necessary to assign the action described in pt. 1.2.1 to a button.

To trigger expansion of the creative, it is necessary to define the action described in pt. 1.2.3 (expand).

It is recommended to implement expansion after clicking, not after hovering with the cursor.

Our requirement for the creative is for the area which initiates the expansion to feature a text describing the action required to trigger the expansion, e.g.: “hover to expand” or “click to expand”.

Selection of the expansion method via “hovering with the mouse cursor” generates accidental opening, which may increase the ratio of interaction, but also leads to a larger part of those interactions being forced and random, which translates to discontent of the recipient and unreliable statistics. If a decision is made to use this method, the area triggering expansion upon hovering with the mouse cursor must not be larger than 25% of a 940x100px creative.After the expansion animation, the swf must by itself automatically return (without action by the user) to its original size / first frame of animation.

15.3 Expanded formThe framework of the gallery is non-modifiable and consists of a mini-gallery (a) superimposed on the primary swf (point 1) on the right side and a preview (b) of individual elements on the left side. The entirety of the expanded version may feature a graphic as a background (plus frame) or any selected solid color)

a) Mini-gallery:

The mini-gallery may contain an arrangement of 6 (fig. no. 1) or 9 (fig. no. 2) miniatures. They are treated as a whole (container) and positioned appropriately. Apart from photos, the main view may also feature video material in *.flv format. For that purpose we require only an *.flv file up to 2,5MB. The built in Smart player is used for playback. We are also able to insert the customer’s YouTube or Google Maps iframe.

16 Video AdThe Video Ad is a video advertisement displayed in any regular advertisement location (billboard, doublebillboard, wideboard, mid-text, megabox, megaskyscraper).

The creative should meet the general requirements described in the section “General rules regarding advertising creatives”, especially pts. 1.1, 1.2.1 and 1.2.4.

Additionally, the customer should provide an mp4 file containing the video material. The maximum admissible size of the video file is 1,5MB.

The video material may start automatically (it must then be muted) or after being clicked by the user (it is then admissible to start the video with sound turned on).

17 PhotocoverThe Photocover is an advertisement which obscures one of the three first previews in the service.

17.1.1 Required materialsThe customer should provide materials prepared according to the following specifications:

Size: 50KB Advertisement dimension: The size of the creative changes depending on the service

on which it is displayed. In the case of the Pudelek.pl service, the size of the preview image is 375x295.

17.1.2 Additional guidelinesThe creative should meet the following assumptions:

it must feature a closing cross and a CLOSE text – min. text size 25px, min. cross size 25x25px

after 15 seconds the creative should close automatically the creative loads over the 3 first images on the Main Page of the given service it is possible to use up to 3 creatives (in order to place over three different images) –

then clicking each creative closes all three of them all forms must close after no more than 15 seconds.

18 FotoFoto in the Pudelek.pl serviceThe FotoFoto in the Pudelek.pl service is an advertisement displayed on the Pudelek.pl service. The advertisement may imitate an editorial preview.

18.1.1 Required materialsThe customer should provide the following materials:

Optimization of the materials is carried out by the WP group. Due to the required material optimization, the creative should be delivered at least two working days before the planned broadcast.

Instead of video materials, the customer may send a display code in the form of a VPAID tag. In such a case, the Wirtualna Polska Group will only provide the display counts.

22.2 Instream Toplayer

The Instream Toplayer is an advertisement element displayed over the video player on the wp.tv service.

22.2.1 Required materialsThe customer should provide a png, gif or jpg file which will be displayed over the video player. The image’s dimensions are 720x405px, the maximum size is 60kB.

22.3 Instream Bottomlayer

The Instream Bottomlayer is an advertising element which covers the upper or lower section of the video player on the wp.tv service.

23 Mailing23.1 General information

Mailing is an advertising format sent only to users of free WP or O2 e-mail accounts, who have consented to receiving e-mail advertisements. This means, that advertisements will be received only by persons who have knowingly accepted it

The sending of mailing advertisements is carried out in accordance with the regulations of the rendering of electronic services act dated 18th of July 2002 (Journal of Laws 2002, 144. 1204)..

Mailing advertisements are delivered to users when they receive e-mail from their inbox during the effective period of the mailing service. Mailing advertisements may be aimed at a specific group of recipients by a targeting mechanism. The waiting time for downloading the sent e-mails from the e-mail server as a standard is 28 days (in case of earlier termination of the mailing service, please include such information in the order).

An e-mail sent as HTML should constitute a complete, correctly structured, checked and functional page. All objects (images) must be located within the same folder as the HTML file (in the current folder).

It is required to entirely eliminate horizontal scrolling and the necessity to zoom in. The content should be adjusted to the available space (smooth scaling to 100% of the width). It is preferable for changes in width to also involve changes in layout, e.g. two blocks which are placed beside each other on a large screen are located one below the other. Certain elements may be hidden for smaller resolutions.

23.2 Basic requirements.

Format: text file or HTML (with graphic elements)

Coding type: ISO-8859-2

Basic size – 50 kB of text or HTML (including graphic elements and appendices), more available at a charge according to the current price list.

Necessary materials: the sender’s name, address and e-mail, subject and e-mail content

23.3 Technical specifications – standard mailing.

An e-mail sent as HTML should constitute a complete, correctly structured and functional HTML page. All objects (images) must be located in the same folder as the HTML file (in the current folder).

After testng and approval of the message, the following changes must be implemented:

- all graphic files displayed through the "cid:" parameter, thus, instead of:

All hit count pixels shoud have set dimensions: width=”1” height=”1”In the case of hit count pixels it is forbidden to use the cid: parameter – this will cause a lack of hit counting in the customer’s statistics.

23.4 Technical specification – targeted mailing.Targeted mailing may contain optional elements in its content associated with the e-mail recipient’s data. The available elements are:

Materials for targeted mailing are prepared in the same way as materials for standard mailing (see pt. 14.4). Additionally, the customer should specify which elements in the mailing advertisement’s content can be substituted with the recipient’s data.

Due to technical limitations, the substitution may take place only in the mailing advertisement’s content (the subject and sender’s data cannot be targeted), and can be sent only to persons using the WWW interface.

Targeted mailing is available only for WP accounts.

23.5 Technical specification – highlighted mailing.Highlighted mailing consists of a standard mailing creative with additional graphical representation in the form of color highlights on the e-mail list. The available options are:

In the case of WP E-mail the customer may additionally select a font color in combination with the color of the background used to highlight the mailing advertisement. The customer may additionally select any highlight color – upon agreement with the Traffic Team whether display in the given color is possible.

In the case of o2 E-mail predefined colors are available from the table above and there is no possibility to select the font highlight color. On a case by case basis, at least 14 working days in advanced the customer must check the availability of possible non-standard colors.

Due to technical limitations, the dispatch to both E-mail services may be carried out only to persons using the WWW interface.

23.6 Technical specification – videomailing.Videomailing may contain optional vieo elements in its content.

Materials for videomailing are prepared in the same way, as materials for standard mailing (see pt. 14.4). Additionally, the customer must provide:

Video material (format MP4, size up to 1024kB)

A gif/jpg thumbnail (displayed when the video material cannot be shown)

23.7 Technical specification – BAN mailing.An e-mail sent as HTML should constitute a complete, correctly structured, checked and functional page. All objects (images) must be located within the same folder as the HTML file (in the current folder).

The styles cannot contain graphics, e.g. element backgrounds, the mailing should be structured in tables, the use of DIV and SPAN elements is not recommended. Any width, height, class values, etc. should be placed in ‘’ ‘’ markers, e.g. width=”100”, <p class=”style1”>content</p>

BAN does not guarantee correct display of the HTML creative in all e-mail clients and systems, especially Lotus and Gmail (Google Mail). BAN ensures support of the creative by popular e-mail systems available on the market (Outlook Express, Outlook MS, Mozilla Thunderbird).
