The wrapping ring is essentially a 96” dia. “bearing” created with one 96” dia. steel “race” orbiting around a second steel “race” using specially formulated guide wheels .

The PRRA has the distinct advantage of the film clamp traveling vertically with the film carriage , which allows the PRRA to start and finish at any point on the load .

Unlike Arm and table system that require you to apply wasted film while getting to the top of the load because the clamp is fixed to the conveyor, the PRRA clamp moves with the film so no wasted film is applied.

As you do not have to return to the fixed clamp position at conveyor height as in conventional wrappers valuable time and film is saved.

By reducing the number of revolutions required to wrap a given load , the PRRA also increases the number of loads wrapped between scheduled maintenance.
