Member Profile: Gougeon Bros (MI)• Gougeon Brothers manufactures boats aand
formulates and sells epoxy products used in their products and for other boatbuilders
• Pursuing product design that helps customers reduce or eliminate waste, improve safety, and minimize cost of compliance
• Current project to reduce hexavalent chromium in a metal surface preparation product (aids adhesion of the epoxy to a substrate), working with their supply chain to research alternatives
www.p2.org/category/challenge/
Member Profile: Washing Systems (OH)
• Washing Systems is a formulator of innovative cleaning products for the commercial laundry industry
• Work with their customers for more efficient cleaning and reduce chemicals of concern including phosphates, NPE, butyl cellosolve, EDTA, and petroleum based solvents
• Worked with one customer, Cintas, and Washington State -- eliminated 25,000 gal of detergent that contained nonlyphenol ethoxylate (NPE) in the laundry process
