What is ODYSSEY?

Work as a language assistant

September to May (25 hrs/week)

$18,500 and travel allowances

The Role of a Language Assistant

Support teachers by organizing cultural and linguistic activities.

Support students and emphasize fluency in speech.

Help students discover English and anglophone culture.

Eligibility Criteria

English must be your first (dominant) language. You must be proficient in both oral and written English.

You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Within the last ten years, you must have obtained at least one year of postsecondary studies.

Next Steps

March: You will receive a letter inviting you to an interview.

April-May: Your application will be forwarded to the province or territory where you could be assigned.

May-June: You will receive a letter indicating the status of your application (accepted or wait list).
