Adobe PhotoshopAdobe Photoshop is a graphics editing program developed and published by Adobe Systems.Adobe's 2003 "Creative Suite" rebranding led to Adobe Photoshop 8's renaming to Adobe Photoshop CS. Thus, Adobe Photoshop CS5 is the 12th major release of Adobe Photoshop. The CS rebranding also resulted in Adobe offering numerous software packages containing multiple Adobe programs for a reduced price. There are two versions of Photoshop: Basic and Extended, with Extended having extra features available. Adobe Photoshop Extended is included in all of Adobe's Creative Suite offerings except Design Standard, which has the Basic version.

How to Install:1. Purchase the software from a reliable company and research the prices before settling

on a supplier. Online sellers may offer discounted rates. Look for special deals if you are a student, employee or faculty member at an educational institution. Academic discounts can save you quite a bit of money.

2. Disable spyware and antivirus software prior to installing Photoshop on your system. Antivirus software can interpret certain applications as damaging to your computer. This is an important step prior to installing any type of software on your computer. Remember to restart the antivirus application once your download is complete.

3. Disarm auto backup software if you utilize it on your system. Like an antivirus program, this can also lead to problems when attempting to install any software.

4. Load the software into your system and follow the on-screen prompts and instructions for installing the product. Installations are usually simple and the software does most of the work.

5. Install the software into the default location. This will provide the program with access to the operating system and hardware it needs to function properly.

6. Run Photoshop installer while your computer is connected to the Internet. This will enable the program to activate properly.

7. Place third-party plug-ins in a folder other than the one that houses your primary Photoshop file. These are typically safe to use, but if they are all in one folder, you will have to reinstall each application should ever need to install Photoshop again.

PHP ProgrammingPHP: Hypertext Preprocessor is a widely used, general-purpose scripting language that was originally designed for web development to produce dynamic web pages. For this purpose, PHP code is embedded into the HTML source document and interpreted by a web server with a PHP processor module, which generates the web page document. As a general-purpose programming language, PHP code is processed by an interpreter application in command-line mode performing desired operating system operations and producing program output on its standard output channel. It may also function as a graphical application. PHP is available as a processor for most modern web servers and as standalone interpreter on most operating systems and computing platforms.

MySQL Database

MySQL is a relational database management system (RDBMS)[1] that runs as a server providing multi-user access to a number of databases

How to Install1.Download MySQL v5.1

Download MySQL from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.1.html Just make sure you get a Windows Essentials (x86) binary version.

2. Install MySQL v5.1

Run the MSI file and use the following settings Typical Setup Skip Sign-Up make sure "Configure the MySQL Server now" is checked "Detailed Configuration" "Developer Machine" "Multifunctional Database" "InnoDB Tablespace Settings" - leave everything default "Decision Support (DSS)/OLAP" make sure "Enable TCP/IP Networking" is checked and leave the port number at 3306

(at this point, if you have a firewall, it will usually try to access itself on the localhost)Leave "Enable Strict Mode" checked

"Standard Character Set" check "Install As Windows Service" and I would recommend leaving "Launch the

MySQL Server automatically" checked. enter a root password (and remember/write it down) and I would recommend leaving

"Enable root access from remote machines" unchecked then hit "execute" and it'll install and set it up.

3. Getting PHP5 to work with MySQL - Official Info

Unfortunately PHP5 removed built-in support for MySQL. To get it to work, the easiest way is to copy the mysql library file by hand. Open the folder you unzipped your PHP to. Copy the libmysql.dll file (should be located like C:\php\libmysql.dll ) into your Window's System

Page 7: Adobe

folder (usually C:\Windows\System32\ although might be C:\WinNT\System\ or something).

Then open up your php.ini in a text editor and search for ;extension=php_mysql.dll and remove the ; infont of that line.

Restart Apache and see if you get any errors. If it complains about "php_mysql.dll" either your PHP extension directory isn't correct or windows can't find libmysql.dll

4.Testing MySQL

Testing MySQL is not exactly easy. However, here are the common connection strings for PHP. I recommend downloading phpMyAdmin and using it to create and manage your databases, etc.
