Filling LOOPholes aims to train orientation leaders in working with the new LOOP and increase their competences in the Global Citizenship Education area as well as improve their training and facilitation skills.

• train orientation leaders in running orientations enriched with the Global Citizen ship Component and in accordance with the refreshed, revised and updated LOOP

• plan the integration of LOOP into existing orientations schemes• mobilise cross-border co-operation between

YFU organisations through cross-border train-ings

• strenghten YFU volunteer network and create peer-support groups

• offer a basic training for facilitators for new orientation leaders and opportunities to en-hance existing training skills for experienced orientation leaders

• provide an opportunity to practice training skills for participants of the Educational track of the Changemakers Academy

• inspire YFU organisations to look for opportu-nities of enhancing their core work with Global Citizenship Education

Who are the organisers and funders?

What is the participant profile?

Current or future orientation leaders. This educational activity provides (beside the new components of the revised LOOP, Educational Goals and Global Citizenship Education) also the basic training and facilitation work-shops for new orientation leaders and alternative, more advanced sessions for experienced orientation leaders who are already trainers.

Trainers from the Europe-an Trainer Network and par-ticipants of the Educational Track of the Changemakers Academy will be running the training course. The training will use non-formal education methodology, which enables the learner to co-shape their learning experience through feedback and active engage-ment. The implementation of the training course has been made possible by the Movetia funding.

How to apply?

Should you wish to apply to be a participant, please complete as fully as possible the application form, send it to your organisation for endorsement and return it to marzena@eee-yfu.org by October 22, 2017.

The participants will be selected by EEE-YFU and the results will be announced soon after the deadline.

What about the financial side and other technicalities?

Board and lodging are provided for all participants. The participation fee is 175 euro per person. Further details of the training programme and logistics will be sent to participants after the selection.

60% of travel expenses will be reimbursed after the seminar upon presentation of relevant receipts. Only partic-ipants who attend more than 80% of the training course will be reimbursed. If a participant falls sick and cannot participate in the training course, a medical proof is needed in order to reimburse incurred costs.

Participants are obliged to hand in reimbursement forms, tickets, receipts and boarding passes to EEE-YFU upon arrival and the returning ones by post latest one month after the seminar, otherwise they will not be reimbursed.

Cancellation policy: Cancellations later than 3 weeks prior to the first day of the training course will incur a can-cellation fee equal to the participation fee. This is due to cancellation fees with vendors and loss of grant income from funders. The only exception is a medical justification in case a participant falls sick.

Participants are responsible to organise their own health insurance for the activity.
