Egypt The main objective of the Illiteracy Eradication Initiative is to produce

electronic, efficient, and simple content for teaching Arabic words, characters, and elementary mathematics to the populous through IT Clubs, the Internet, and CDs

Ukraine Plan of measures are elaborate as national program of step-by-step

information society development in Ukraine. With these programs we expect to find optimal solutions to global problems by effective usage of e-learning techniques.

Commonwealth Secretariat This project builds on already existing efforts and initiatives and is

currently developing a set of bilingual, dynamic websites and a system of email accounts to aid learning.

United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) The main goal of the project is to empower the poor and

disadvantaged communities through the transformation of existing ICT access points in selected countries around the world into knowledge hubs of global knowledge networks.

UNRWA ICT in UNRWA GAZA Schools project aims to introduce ICT as

curriculum & to use ICT to enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum.

Belgium: The Destree Institute The Destree Institute will organise on Saturday 8th March 2008 in Liège

(Wallonia), the International Conference "Millennia 2015”. Millennia aims to build some answers to the divides linked to gender (political, economical and social, educational and cultural).

Netherlands - Viafrica foundation All projects are aimed at effectively using ICT in education and local

organisations. At the moment, the pjoect focuses on enabling secondary schools to effectively integrate ICT in their curricula.

Egypt - Tanweer for Education & Development Association The objective of the project is to implement a self study program using ICT to

help illiterates learn how to write and read. By the end of the program 1200 illiterates will not only have eliminated their illiteracy but learned how to use the ICT.
